As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Los Angeles, CA at the Staples Center on the USA Network, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley and Acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin attacked Braun Strowman during their six-man tag team match. After the match, WWE announced that Strowman had suffered “injuries” as a result.
It turns out that this angle was done to cover for the fact that Strowman will indeed need elbow surgery as he has a legit injury. Strowman’s match with Baron Corbin at the TLC pay-per-view all depends on the seriousness of the surgery. He’s still expected for the Royal Rumble match with Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. WWE confirmed the surgery when issuing the following statement:
Braun Strowman to undergo surgery after attack on Raw
Braun Strowman will be undergoing surgery on his shattered elbow, WWE.com has learned.
The injury to his elbow was the result of a brutal attack at the hands of Acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre & Bobby Lashley on Monday Night Raw. Strowman is currently scheduled to face Corbin in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match at WWE TLC on Sunday, Dec. 16.
Will The Monster Among Men be fully healed in time compete against Corbin in just four short weeks? Stick with WWE.com and social media for updates on Braun Strowman’s status as they become available.
