Xavier Woods is immensely proud of the success of The New Day and believes the faction has a claim to the title of the greatest of all time.
The trio of Woods, Kofi Kingston, and Big E. came together in July 2014, and after some initial hostility by fans, would go on to become one of the most popular factions ever.
While speaking on “ReviewSTL,” the former Tag Team Champion addressed where he thinks The New Day ranks in the history of great factions. He said,
“By far, the greatest of all time. We’ll have been together 10 years next year… When I say we’re the best… it’s because I think the level of chemistry and brotherhood that we are able to have in reality and on-screen allows us that, that opportunity allows us to say that because that’s what a faction is supposed to be.
“It’s a brotherhood. Nobody fights each other, there are no, there are disagreements but we’re adult men. We talk and we work them out.”
The New Day hasn’t been a collective unit on WWE TV in over a year after Big E. suffered a broken neck during a March 2022 episode of SmackDown on FOX.
In the interview, Woods also reflected on his return to NXT last year and working with Pretty Deadly.
