As we’ve previously reported, New Day member Xavier Woods suffered an Achilles tendon injury during WWE’s live event in Sydney over the weekend. WWE later confirmed the injury and Woods was pulled from the rest of the tour.
According to a report from F4WOnline, things don’t sound too good for Woods. The word going around backstage is that the injury is bad. WWE did not confirm that Woods actually tore his Achilles, but the word going around is that he, in fact, did.
There’s currently no word on how long Woods will be sidelined, but recovering from an Achilles tear after surgery usually takes a lengthy amount of time. Woods suffered the injury while being Irish-whipped into the ropes, collapsing down after coming back off the ropes, and clutching his ankle.
