Dany Garcia, Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) and RedBird Capital Partners have been selected as the winning bidder for substantially all of the assets of Alpha Entertainment LLC, the parent company of the XFL.
The league was supposed to launch next year, but today, the league announced the season is on hold while having discussions with the CFL (Candian Football League). The belief is that this could lead to a merger.
