Tonight at Slammiversary, we witnessed Trey, Ace Austin, Eddie Edwards, Rich Swann (who returned from injury) and the returning Eric Young battle it out in a Fatal 5-Man Elimination Match. When the smoke cleared, it was Eddie Edwards who became the new Impact Wrestling Heavyweight Champion.
Once the match was over, Eddie Edwards was attacked by Madman Fulton and Ace Austin. The Good Brothers (Gallows and Anderson) made their official debut in Impact Wrestling, as they came down to ringside and took care of business, helping Eddie Edwards take out Fulton and Austin.
As Eddie Edwards and The Good Brothers celebrated, a mysterious video aired with the “III” initials in the background. The one and only EC3 then appeared, with a new look and attitude, as he threw a glass at the wall as the video faded to black and the show went off the air.
