WWE released Zelina Vega from her contract last Friday. The belief is that this was due to her being outspoken about WWE’s edict on wrestlers using third party platforms such as Twitch, OnlyFans, and Cameo.
WWE claimed that she was fired because she breached her contract when she launched her OnlyFans non-nude account, according to Sports Illustrated.
It was noted that WWE felt like she boxed them into a corner when she opened the account after WWE implemented the edict about Twitch. WWE has told its wrestlers that they were not to engage with third parties and if they did then they could be subject to fines, suspensions or they could be fired.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was Mark Carrano that informed her of the WWE’s decision to fire her. After Carrano told her that McMahon didn’t want to meet with her, she was escorted from the building.
