AEW All-Atlantic Championship: Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Big Bill

AEW All-Atlantic Champion Orange Cassidy is out first, followed by his challenger, Big Bill. Orange Cassidy is avoiding Big Bill in the early stages of the match before Big Bill catches up with him and lays him out with a side slam.

Bill follows it up with a big boot to send the champ to the outside. Stokely Hathaway is helping Bill clear off the timekeeper’s table, which seems like bad news for Orange Cassidy. Cassidy tries jumping off the steel steps. CAUGHT! CHOKESLAM THROUGH THE TABLE!!

Out comes Danhausen. Danhausen tries inflicting a hellacious curse upon Stokely Hathaway, but Hathaway takes him out with his cast. The distraction is enough for a staggered Cassidy to somewhat recover.

Orange Cassidy with a flurry of offence, followed by a Stundog Millionaire, the Tornado DDT, and THREE ORANGE PUNCHES for the three count!

Result: Orange Cassidy retains the All-Atlantic Championship

Will the Elite be next to appear? Suddenly, the lights go off and House of Black takes down the AEW Trios Champions, seizing the titles and concluding the segment.

Face of the Revolution Ladder Match

TNT and ROH World TV Champion Samoa Joe is out next for commentary. Powerhouse Hobbs takes the early advantage.

To recap some highlights from this spot-fest, Kommander landed a Shooting Star Press on AR Fox and tried to climb up the ladder, but Konosuke Takeshita stopped with a Blue Thunder Bomb off of one ladder onto another. At ringside, Sammy Guevara climbs to the top of a TALL ladder and lands a Swanton Bomb on Action Andretti, lying prone on another ladder.

“Yeah, that’s smart kid!”

Hobbs and Takeshita are duking it out in the ring. Willie Hobbs (bebe) takes him out, climbs the ladder, reaches for the brass ring, and son of a b***h, wouldn’t you know, who won the pony?

Result: ‘Powerhouse’ Will Hobbs wins the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match

Hobbs is set to challenge either Samoa Joe or Wardlow on next week’s Dynamite. Joe makes a wisecrack on commentary. I love Joe!

Wardlow comes out on the stage as security comes out to separate the Joe and Wardow before their blowoff at Revolution. Wardlow takes the ‘men in black’ out, the TNT Champion escapes amidst the commotion, and Will Hobbs makes a wisecrack too!

Result: Joe & Hobbs make wisecracks; Wardlow doesn’t

Chris Jericho vs Peter Avalon

CODEBREAKER!! 1-2-3!

Result: Chris Jericho defeats Peter Avalon

Jericho continues to assault Avalon following the match. Out comes ‘Absolute’ Ricky Starks. As if almost waiting for him, the Jericho Appreciation Society is out to assist their leader.

“They should be renamed the Jericho Assistance Society.”

Chris Jericho stands over Ricky Starks to end the segment.

Out next is ‘Renee Moxley Good,’ and she welcomes to the ring a dear old friend and fellow Ontario resident, Christian Cage.

Christian takes shots at Jungle Boy and the ‘pudding gang’ for treating professional wrestling like a video game. This is an absolute banger of a promo!

Christian takes some shots at Jungle Boy’s father before challenging him to a ‘no rules match’ at Revolution. Suddenly, there’s a black out!

A creepy vignette airs featuring Jungle Boy, reminiscent of Undertaker with the shovel and the grave and the tombstone…

FTW Championship: Hook (c) vs. Matt Hardy

Matt Hardy is in control. Stokely Hathaway and Ethan Page are run distractions. Hardy is still in control. Hardy is still in control. Hardy is still in control.

“What’s the point to this match?”

HOOK makes a comeback, and locks in the RedRum. Hardy taps out.

Result: HOOK retains the FTW Championship

Toni Storm vs. Riho

Toni Storm is out first, followed by Riho. I have some money riding on this one, I mean Toni’s winning here, come on!

Storm attacks Riho while she is distracted to take control.

“Yeah, that’s right Toni!”

Toni Storm is roughing up Riho and raining down punches on Riho. The inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion got an opening but Saraya ran a distraction to help Storm get on top again!

“That’s the only instance I have ever cheered for Saraya.”

Jamie Hayer and Britt Baker come out to nullify. There’s a lot of shenanigans at ringside, and that allows Riho to roll-up Toni Storm for the win. Wait what?

“GODDAMMNNNIITTT!! Damn you Toni (Khan)”

Result: Riho defeats Toni Storm via pinfall

Post-match, there’s a huge brawl involving Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, Ruby Soho, Saraya, and Toni Storm. We go to the break as security personnel is out to separate the women.

“You know who wasn’t involved in this post-match fiasco? Riho. ****”

Casino Tag Team Battle Royale

Blackpool Combat Club and Dork Order are the first two teams out. Los Ignore….. (whatever the ****) are out next. That’s RUSH and Preston Vance. They are followed by the Lucha Brothers and Aussie Open.

Aussie Open eliminate Dork Order. Out next… “Daddy Magic Mac” & “Cool Hand Luke.” Followed by Top Flight. “Daddy Magic Mac” is eliminated. Out next is The Kingdom – Matt Taven and Mike Bennett.

Lucha Brothers, Los Ignore….. (whatever the ****) and Top Flight are eliminated in quick succession. Orange Cassidy and Danhausen enter next. They eliminate “Cool Hand Luke” and that is it for the Jericho Appreciation Society. The Kingdon and Aussie Open are also eliminated in quick succession.

The Butcher & The Blade and Orange Cassidy & Danhausen are the last two teams remaining. Cassidy and Danhausen eliminate “the most successful team in AEW Battle Royale history” to advance to Revolution.

“Well, that’s flatter than a plateful of pee. Why don’t they just Cassidy be the one that dethrones MJF at Double or Nothing?”

Result: Orange Cassidy & Danhausen win the Casino Tag Team Battle Royale

Post-match, Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal hit the ring to assault Cassidy and Danhausen. The Acclaimed and The Gunns. Another post-match brawl endues to draw the segment to a close.

“What’s that, the fifth time it happened tonight? LAZZYYY BOOKING.”

******************

We are back from the commercial break with a little over five minutes left for our main event of the evening. ‘Renee Moxley Good’ is standing in the ring and out comes another dear old friend of hers, Bryan Danielson.

Danielson proceeds to cut an incredible promo before our beloved AEW World Champion interrupts. Danielson tells him to shut up. The No. 1 contendor amps it up.

He digresses to reflect on his struggles, fires an insult at MJF about his fiance leaving him and ends his fire promo with the following words…

“YOU’RE GONNA GET YOUR FUCKING HEAD KICKED IN!!”

That’s right, uncensored. MJF did not speak a word during this segment!!

“This was a brilliant promo by Bryan Danielson! I can’t do justice to Danielson’s artistry here, I really can’t!”

******************

Here’s a quick recap for tonight’s results:

  • Orange Cassidy defeated Big Bill to retain the All-Atlantic Championship
  • ‘Powerhouse’ Will Hobbs won the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match
  • Chris Jericho defeated Peter Avalon
  • HOOK defeated Matt Hardy via submission to retain the FTW Championship

It’s been a pleasure joining you for Dynamite tonight. See ya next week!
