Backstage, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and Adam Cole hanging out. Omega says he hasn’t watched back his match. Says The Elite came up short, as well. Omega says he’s gotta go get some things fixed, but he can’t do it here. He asks the group to hold down the fort. Adam Cole says Omega can count on him. Omega says he meant Matt and Nick. Cole backtracks a bit and there’s some weirdness as they head off.

Dark Order in the ring for National Cowboy S*** Day. John Silver introduces AEW World Champion Hangman Page. The champ makes his way out and talks with the group. He takes the mic. The crowd says “You deserve it!” He politely stops them and says he didn’t deserve it, he earned it. The crowd chants that instead. Page says typically he’s on the shy side of things, but now that he’s champion he’ll do whatever he wants. He’s still just a man with a boss to answer to, but he wanted to stand in the ring and celebrate the day with the crowd.

He knows the title carries a lot of responsibility and that comes in the form of Bryan Danielson. Danielson’s music hits and out he comes. He claps it up for Page on his way to the ring. He takes a mic and says he has one thing to say. He congratulates Page and shakes his hand. Danielson says he’s super excited for the match. Danielson says he won’t lie, he wishes it was Omega standing across from him. Page then says well that’s too bad, he beat Omega, and did it under 30 minutes. Danielson says he doesn’t want to talk trash though, even though he does talk trash. Danielson says when he wins titles he wrestles, not flap his gums.

He recalls when he won the title, he wrestled the very next day! Crowd boos him. “Of course, Virginia boos hard work,” Danielson shoots back. Page says he doesn’t see any reason why they couldn’t do it tonight. Danielson says normally he’d be up for it, but he doesn’t want to beat Page tonight when he has the excuse that he’s not ready (since he’s not in ring gear). Page offers up to fight anyways and gets face-to-face. Dark Order separates the two. Danielson taunts Page some more about his “little friends” stopping them.

He says he wanted to congratulate Page, but because of his behavior, he kicked Uno’s head in. He says until Page wrestles him, he’ll kick all of Dark Order’s heads in. Next week, they are in Chicago and one of them are from there. He calls out Colt Cabana.

He can go bell-to-bell with the best of them. MJF says while the fans hate his guts, they have to admit just how damn good he really is. He says who knows what’s next (as he does the title hand gesture).

Backstage, Eddie Kingston goes to do an interview and gets interrupted by 2point0 and Daniel Garcia. The group talks some trash, but Kingston gets in Garcia’s face. Says he’s going to fight him. There’s a quick scuffle and the group heads off. Kingston says he wants one interview that doesn’t get interrupted! Just one! “I’m going to catering.”

Andrade says he’s beaten both Cody and PAC clean, showing he’s a better wrestler than both of them. He will now show them his bad side. FTR says they’ve been robbed by this group, this is personal, so why not make it an 8-man tag match with Malakai Black involved (against Cody, PAC, and Lucha Brothers). Tully then chimes in and tells Arn he has one more match left.

Backstage, Tony talks with Britt Baker, Rebel, and Jamie Hayter. Baker says she’s getting tired of having to carry this women’s division. She says she’s going to direct the spotlight the future TBS Champion Jamie Hayter.

Rose off the second rope, nobody home, Shida with a pin for a two-count. She looks for a kick, but Rose blocks it into a standing stretch muffler for the win.

MJF heads out with Wardlow and Shawn Spears. MJF doesn’t want to talk because the crowd keeps talking. Spears tries to get them to shut up, but doesn’t have much luck. MJF takes it back and says he is easily the most complete pro wrestler on the planet. Says he could send their hometown horse straight to the glue factory. He says the rankings don’t tell the whole story and nobody is on his level. CM Punk’s music hits.

Punk heads into the ring. MJF goes to talk and the crowd chants “shut the f*** up.” MJF introduces himself and extends his hand. Punk looks at it, smiles, and walks away. He looks back up at MJF, laughs, and walks right to the back. MJF looks bothered.

– Backstage, Tony talks with Darby Allin about his match with MJF being possibly the match of the night. Allin says he wasn’t broken mentally, but they will have a rematch at some point. He isn’t taking time off and wants the biggest and baddest. Billy Gunn and his boys walk by and says if that’s what he’s looking for, he’s right here. They head off. Allin says, “Yeah, screw it. Let’s do it.”

Backstage, Superkliq are not in a good mood after losing last weekend. Cole says both Matt and Nick aren’t cleared, but they are stronger than ever. On Rampage, Cole said it will be Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy vs. himself and Bobby Fish. Bobby enters the scene and says enough of JB and Luchasaurus! He goes to end with the “and that is undisputed” but Matt says they can’t do that here, lol.

Winners: Lio Rush and Dante Martin

Post-match, Team Taz make their way out. Taz gives congrats to the winners. He says people were uncomfortable about Team Taz trying to get Martin while Rush was away. Taz says Rush knows better than anyone that it’s all business, nothing personal. They will wait, no biggie. Starks says they waited for Hobbs and it’s been a year since he joined Team Taz. Starks says if Martin wants to join the group it’ll be a Hall of Fame career, or it’ll be a mediocre one, if he doesn’t.

– Christian with Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus, Christian says they are looking for redemption on Friday? Unlikely. JB says they can hit them with chairs or put them through tables, but they are better now than ever before!
