Welcome to EWrestlingNews’ AEW Dynamite results for September 28, 2022!

The Jericho Appreciation Society make their way out and they’re all wearing matching suits in purple. Matt Menard teases that he got Luigi to make pizzas but he’s not going to share any with the fans. Anna Jay says the fans won’t get pizza, but they have the greatest ROH World Champion of all time – Chris Jericho.

Jericho calls himself the most important ROH World Champion of all time and then gifts Daniel Garcia a bucket hat, calling him the look of the greatest sports entertainer of all time. However, Garcia tosses off the hat and drops Luigi with a shot. He says he has something important to say, but Jericho stops him.

Jericho warns Garcia to think about what he’s about to say, because right now he’s at a crossroads. Jericho asks Garcia if he’s a sports entertainer or a wrestler, but before he can answer, Daniel Bryan enters. He tells Jericho that it sounds like he’s trying to make up Garcia’s mind for him. Menard then challenges Bryan to a match.

Bryan Danielson vs. Matt Menard

Danielson picks up the win with the LeBell Lock.

Winner: Bryan Danielson

MJF is supposed to make his way out next, but we get Wheeler Yuta instead. He’s not happy about MJF attacking Tony Schiavone. Yuta demands MJF come out and face the consequences for his actions. MJF comes out and trashes Philadelphia, Schiavone, and mocks Yuta, saying he’s taking a lot of TV time away from the biggest draw in AEW.

Yuta looks like he’s going to attack MJF, but Colten and Austin Gunn step in to protect MJF, who threatens to see Yuta in the ring next week.

AEW World Championship Eliminator Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Juice Robinson

Moxley gets the Cross Arm Breaker submission for the win.

Winner: Jon Moxley

After the match, “Hangman” Adam Page comes out and stares Moxley down. It looks like a fight is about to break out before MJF appears in the box and tells them to chill out, as hem might cash in his chip. However, Yuta appears from behind and they start brawling before security comes in.

Saraya makes her way out to the ring, and we’ll finally hear from her. She gives her signature “I’m back!” and says she’s here to create a change in the division – a revolution. She then calls out the women’s division to the ring, and some actually come out. Toni Storm, in particular, Saraya calls the best champion AEW has seen and is honored to share the ring with her.

Britt Baker comes in and says we’ve seen new toys come and go, and Saraya’s just a catchphrase until she earns some respect. Baker said she’s put her neck out for AEW, and unlike Saraya’s, hers is strong enough to handle it. Saraya says it’s nice to have a boss who finally listens. She says the next match is a Lumberjack match.

Interim AEW Women’s World Championship Lumberjack Match: Toni Storm (c) vs. Serena Deeb

Storm nails the Avalanche Piledriver for the victory.

Winner AND STILL Interim AEW Women’s Champion: Toni Storm

The Acclaimed are shown backstage with Billy Gunn, but they’re interrupted by Keith Lee, who blames Gunn for costing them the titles. Gunn has two words for them…”Scissor Me.”

Ricky Starks vs. Eli Isom

Starks hits Roshambo and gets the win.

Winner: Ricky Starks

Chris Jericho (c) vs. Bandido (ROH World Championship Match)

Jericho retains the title with the Liontamer.

Winner AND STILL ROH World Championship: Chris Jericho
