AEW Rampage Results (5/27/2022)

#1. Matt Sydal vs. Bryan Danielson — Winner: Bryan Danielson by technical submission

The Hardys music plays! But it’s The Young Bucks cosplaying as their heroes. Brandon Cutler is wearing a thong high, just like Lita. But wait… Gangrel is with them! It looks like he’s joining them at ringside for the next match.

#2. The Young Bucks (w/ Gangrel) vs. Taylor Rust & John Cruz — Winners: The Young Bucks with the Swanton Bomb

After the match, Gangrel has a little moment in the spotlight before The Young Bucks turns on him. The real Hardys turn up to save him. They go for a double Twist of Fate, but Brandon Cutler attacks them from behind. Bad idea! Gangrel hits his jumping DDT on him. The Hardys DELETE Cutler as the Young Bucks stay clear.

– Darby Allin is challenging Kyle O’Reilly to a match at Double Or Nothing because he took out Sting. If he doesn’t, he will interfere in Cole’s match, so let’s make this official.

#3. Dante Martin vs. Max Caster — Winner: Dante Martin

Dan Lambert insults AEW fans before putting over Scorpio Sky. They have a new TNT Championship belt to unveil. It’s the same design as the previous, except it has a gold strap and a purple plate. Ethan Page says they can be finally be done with the trash. Oh wait, Frankie Kazarian, Sammy Guevara & Tay Conti invade the American Top Team facility.

Conti would love to steal a few belts so she & Guevara can make love with them. They smash up several cases and take some of Lambert’s title belts. Scorpio Sky accepts their challenge of a trios match, with them & Paige VanZant against them. If they win, neither Kazarian or Guevara can ever challenge for the TNT title again. After that, they are done.

#4. [Owen Hart Cup Semi-Final] Kris Statlander vs. Ruby Soho — Winner: Ruby Soho

It’s unconfirmed, but the fans may booed the outcome of the match? Britt Baker showed up with a microphone, but Ruby Soho cut her off because we’ve heard enough of her talk the past two years, and now it’s her turn. She scolded the fans for being disrespectful. Since Ruby got to AEW, she says that she has owed Baker a receipt. At Double or Nothing, she is cashing it in to win the Owen Hart Foundation Cup.
