AEW Rampage Results (7/29/2022)

#1. Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt & Satnam Singh vs. Orange Cassidy & Best Friends — Winners: Cassidy & Best Friends

Satnam Singh goes on a rampage after the bell, and Jay Lethal’s not done either. As he’s beating up Orange Cassidy, Wardlow heads to the ring. He stares a hole through ’em, and Dutt encourages them to have nothing to do with him.

#2. Ethan Page vs. Leon Ruffin — Winner: Ethan Page

#3. Lee Moriarty vs. Matt Sydal — Winner: Lee Moriarty

After his win, Stokely Hathaway offers Moriarty a business card. He accepts.

Tony Schiavone introduces the new ROH World Champion, Claudio Castagnoli. He comes to the ring with his manager William Regal. Claudio thanks people in different languages, because there have been many times he doubted himself, but the fans never let him down. They were always there for him, so it’s an honor to stand in front of them as the ROH World Champion. This is just the beginning, but he also knows someone else had a good night at Death Before Dishonor, so he introduces the ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta.

Before Yuta can say anything, Chris Jericho stands up from the commentary table and insults the audience for their chants toward Yuta & Claudio. Do you know what Claudio deserves? A boot up his ass. Yuta tells him to shut the hell up. He’s heard it all before, but he likes how he’s avoiding the fact he beat his boy Daniel Garcia. He’s pretty sure he could beat him too. Chris Jericho thinks that’s funny… he can’t beat him, ever. Yuta thinks he’s scared. Claudio & Regal think he can beat him. The fans think he can beat him. Jericho gets angry and is adamant that Yuta can’t beat him.

How about this? Jericho vs. Yuta this Wednesday on Dynamite. Eh, Yuta doesn’t want it now. Jericho gets so annoyed because he’s certain he can beat him that he makes a proposal. If Yuta wins, he will get the AEW World title shot against Jon Moxley instead. Yuta says that was easier than he thought… you’re on!

#4. Ruby Soho vs. Anna Jay — Winner: Anna Jay by submission
