AEW Dynamite Results (1/18/2023)

#1. [All-Atlantic Championship] Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Jay Lethal* — Winner: Orange Cassidy retains

*If anyone from his stable attacks Orange Cassidy tonight, Sonjay Dutt will be fired. Despite that, the stable made their way through the crowd and sat in the audience.

After the match, Satnam Singh and Jeff Jarrett came close to attacking Orange Cassidy, but Sonjay Dutt stopped them to save his job. OC taunted Dutt, and the others had to hold him back.

#2. Top Flight vs. The Young Bucks (w/ Brandon Cutler) — Winners: Top Flight

The Gunns are here to say a few words. Colten says they are the best tag team in the world. Austin says last week The Acclaimed embarrassed them. What the fans keep forgetting is that they made The Acclaimed popular, champions, and their Dad. They promise it is the last time they ever embarrass them. Here comes The Acclaimed.

Max Caster asks if they want to hear him freestyle. Listen! Yo. He tears them apart before getting in the ring, sparking a fight, but Billy Gunn breaks it up? He picks up a microphone and says he is sick of this. He tells The Acclaimed to start acting like tag team champions. Next week, they are going to hash all this out. Billy has two words for ya… “family therapy”.

– Backstage, Hangman Page talks to Renee Paquette about Jon Moxley. If he has issues with him, he can talk to his face about it. He’s also looking to mend some fences that he has wanted to fix for a long time.

#3. Jake Hager (w/ The JAS) vs. Ricky Starks — Winner: Ricky Starks

Chris Jericho says Ricky Starks has been beating them, but next week it will all end, because he has set up a tag team match with him & Sammy Guevara against Starks & Andretti. Garcia wants to take Guevara’s place, which the latter is happy about because he has trained him for this. Jericho says Starks’ lucky streak will end for good.

#4. Bryan Danielson vs. Bandido — Winner: Bryan Danielson

MJF is on the big screen. He says he thinks people forgot who the hell he is, and how became World Champion. Think of all the moments he has given them… that’s an understatement. MJF says the further Danielson gets on this journey, the more his mask is going to slip off, and you don’t want that. Nobody does. You may think you’re a dragon, but even a dragon isn’t a match for the monster behind the mask.

MJF offers Brian Cage a huge amount of money if he breaks Bryan Danielson’s arm. Then he slaps him, so Cage grabs him by the throat. Prince Nana reminds him about the money, so he backs off. MJF says that is heat, and he learned from a young age to use that to his advantage, so he better get the job done next week.

#5. Toni Storm vs. Willow Nightingale — Winner: Toni Storm

Storm & Saraya attack Willow after the bell, but Ruby Soho came to make the save. Hikaru Shida isn’t sure what is going on. Is that a heel turn? Sure looks like it.

#6. [TNT Championship] Darby Allin (c) vs. Kushida — Winner: Darby Allin
