AEW Dynamite Results (1/29/2025)
#1. Will Ospreay vs. Brian Cage (w/ Lance Archer) – Winner: Will Ospreay
Lance Archer attacks Ospreay after the match. As the Don Callis Family works him over, Kenny Omega (who was attacked before the opener) arrives with a steel chair. Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita blindsides him and Ospreay, making this a 4-on-2 beatdown.
#2. Jeff Jarrett vs. Claudio Castagnoli – Winner: Claudio Castagnoli with an assist from Jon Moxley
MJF blindsides Jeff Jarrett, knocks him unconscious, and then tells him “I told you so”.
Ricochet is happy that Swerve Strickland cannot interfere with his business. Renee Paquette wants to know what is troubling him, but he tells her they will talk about it later. As for tonight, he is ready to take out AR Fox.
#3. Ricochet vs. AR Fox – Winner: Ricochet
Swerve Strickland attempts to attack Ricochet, but he holds AR Fox hostage with some gold scissors. He does not want Strickland until next week.
#4. Wheeler Yuta vs. Jay White – Winner: Jay White
The crowd asks White to deliver one more Switchblade. As he sets up Yuta, the Death Riders appear. Castagnoli stops White before he can hit his finisher, but the Death Riders can’t do much more as Adam Copeland and FTR quickly enter the ring. Dax Harwood grabs a microphone and tells them he has a problem with a group taking out legends like the Rock N’ Roll Express. He challenges them to a Mid-South Street Fight.
Next up, Mariah May has a word with Renee Paquette on the stage. She becomes frustrated when she mentions Toni Storm and is adamant that she isn’t real. Why doesn’t she play the Toni Storm who used her to attain her goals? Or the one who was bleeding and crying in her hands? How about she plays the Toni Storm who walked out of Wembley, Japan, and Mexico because she could not touch her? She can play whatever Toni Storm she likes. The ending stays the same. May does not need to roleplay, because when you’re this good, you don’t need to change a thing. She is the women from hell. She always will be and will remind Toni of this for the rest of her life. Never forget, for this is your AEW Women’s World Champion.
The Vendetta (Taya Valkyria & Deonna Purrazzo) will not enjoy watching Yuka Sakazaki challenge Mercedes Mone tonight, as it was Harley Cameron who cost them their shot. They send out a warning to her.
