AEW Dynamite Results (11/27/2024)
The Hurt Syndicate opens the show. MVP has an official announcement. Tonight, seeing as we are in Chicago, he can say he is between two of the greatest athletes to ever step foot in a wrestling ring. They chant for MVP, but he says it isn’t about him. When he offers talent a business card, that is like giving them a golden ticket to change their life for the better. Or, if they are like Swerve Strickland, he goes to Full Gear and Lashley beats the snot out of him.
Strickland is a former World Champion, but he is not the most dangerous man in AEW. Bobby Lashley is a walking Armageddon. Their mission statement is to take championships, and then leverage them for more money and power. They are in the profession of pain, and Shelton Benjamin will show that better than anyone else. The Hurt Syndicate is the absolute best in the industry, and they are here to hurt people.
#1. [Continental Classic Blue League] Mark Briscoe vs. Shelton Benjamin – Winner: Shelton Benjamin
Mercedes Mone brags about her victory against Kris Statlander. She becomes so annoying that Kamille tells her to shut up. Is she stupid, or just dumb? Mercedes cannot fire her, because she quits.
#2. [ROH World Championship] Chris Jericho (c) vs. Tomohiro Ishii – Winner: Chris Jericho retains
Swerve Strickland tries to reflect on losing to Bobby Lashley, but is interrupted by Max Caster, who claims that Swerve has lost his edge. Strickland shuts him up by giving him a beating.
Tony Schiavone struggles to interview an angry Hangman Page in the ring. Christian Cage failed to help him when the World Championship was on the line. His intention has always been to be the World Champion. It shouldn’t have been Strickland’s, Danielson’s, Moxley’s, or Christian Cage’s. Jay White interrupts him. He asks him a question. What happened in their matches at Full Gear and WrestleDream? He lost both of their matches, so if anyone is deserving of a shot at the AEW World Championship, it is the Switchblade.
But if he needs another reminder, he will happily give him another match tonight. Pac blindsides Jay White! And Wheeler Yuta chop blocks Page from behind. Marina Shafir cracks Page in the head with the World Championship briefcase. She tries the same on White, but he counters and almost uses his finisher on her, but Moxley shows up in time to save her. Shafir judo slams White and chokes him out. Finally, Pac smashes the case over White’s head.
#3. [Continental Classic Gold League] Ricochet vs. Claudio Castagnoli – Winner: Claudio Castagnoli
Don Callis says that he and Kyle Fletcher didn’t just Will Ospreay. They decimated him. Fletcher is better than him and everyway, and they are just getting started. The Continental Classic is just another way to prove them right.
The Undisputed Kingdom makes their way to the ring (minus Roderick Strong). Adam Cole says when he gets his hands on MJF, he will beat him to within an inch of his life. Kyle O’Reilly interrupts to tell Cole that he tried fighting MJF, but it didn’t work. Let him fight Max. Adam tells Kyle that he doesn’t want his friends fighting his battles for him, but O’Reilly wants to do this for Roddy. MJF appears on the big screen to let them know he isn’t interested in them. He’s more focused on the Dynamite Diamond Ring battle royal. He plays them out with a piano melody. Cole and O’Reilly want to be part of that battle royal.
#4. [Wrestle Dynasty International Women’s Cup Qualifier] Jamie Hayter vs. Queen Aminata – Winner: Jamie Hayter
The lights go out for a few seconds. A spotlight shines up the ramp, but nobody appears.
Renee Paquette has an interview with Mina Shirakawa. She knew that if May could betray Toni Storm, that she could do it to her, too. This is the real Mariah May, and she is so selfish. She has to push away anyone who gets close to her. Perhaps it is time she gets introduced to the real Mina. The champion attacks Shirakawa from behind! And after taking her out, says that she “wants Mina”.
