Ricky Starks opens up the show, talking about his loss to MJF. He says he lost to MJF like a man, but MJF won like a coward. Starks says he’ll work his way back up if need be. Chris Jericho then interrupts him with Daniel Garcia and Sammy Guevara. Jericho says Starks will be a big star one day, and maybe even a World Champion, but not yet. He recommends some influence and advice, and some Chris Jericho.

Jericho invites Starks to join the Jericho Appreciation Society. Starks pokes fun at Jericho and says that the J in JAS stands for “jobbers.” He challenges Jericho to a match on January 4, but Jericho instead sends out Jake Hager from behind to attack him. Action Andretti comes out for the save and sends the heels running.

Best-Of-Seven Series No Disqualification Match: Death Triangle (3) vs. The Elite

The Young Bucks plant Fenix head-first into a chair for the victory.

Winners: The Elite (Death Triangle lead 3-2)

After the match, Death Triangle attack The Elite with hammers, and Nick Jackson gets busted open.

Bryan Danielson is interviewed by Renee Paquette, talking about William Regal leaving the Blackpool Combat Club. Danielson says he knows the rest of the group doesn’t have the same relationship with Regal that he does. He said he believes Regal made the entire industry better. Danielson turns his attention to MJF, saying if it were hip against MJF, he’d be the man with the World Title right now.

We then see Jon Moxley backstage who tells Adam Page that he’ll be at AEW Rampage and they can keep fighting. But asks if they’ll settle things in the ring.

Backstage we see Samoa Joe wishing everyone a happy holiday season, including Wardlow. He says that Wardlow won’t be having a Happy New Year.

HOOK vs. Exodus Prime 

Hook hits Red Rum for the victory.

Winner: Hook

Backstage we see Stokely Hathaway with Big Bill and Lee Moriarty attacking Jack Perry, who gets chokeslammed into a dumpster.

Jon Moxley vs. Darius Martin

Moxley hits Deathridder on Martin for the victory.

Winner: Jon Moxley

Gunn Club vs. FTR

Austin gets a reversal pin while holding the ropes and his brother’s hand on the outside for the win.

Winners: Gunn Club

Rick Ross mediates inside the ring between Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland. Strickland came out late and Lee is upset that they’re doing things on his time again. Strickland tells Ross that he’s tired of all the accusations Lee has been throwing at him, especially after he’s given him the world. Parker Boudreaux then comes out and attacks Lee. Another wrestler comes out to help Boudreaux. They hold Lee down on the steel steps with a cinder block on his chest, as Strickland nails a diving foot stomp onto him which explodes everything.

AEW Women’s World Championship Match: Jamie Hayter (c) vs. Hikaru Shida

Hayter hits a Ripcord Lariat for the victory.

Winner AND STILL AEW Women’s World Champion: Jamie Hayter

Shida gets attacked after the match but Toni Storm hits the ring for the save. The numbers game then turns against Storm, but Saraya comes out to even the odds, sending the heels packing.
