Here are the results for Impact Wrestling’s Against All Odds event airing March 29th 2019. This is not a detailed play-by-play commentary of matches; although talking segments are included. Check out the following link for last weeks results: March 22nd
*As I watch it on Spike in the UK, Impact airs earlier than other international broadcasts (starting 11pm GMT 6pm EST). Avoid if you do no want it spoiling.*
A lot of hype in the opening vignette. Scarlett Bordeaux’s wrestling tonight, and Jordynne Grace is challenging Taya Valkyrie for the Knockouts title. Rosemary will also be entering the Undead Realm to find Allie’s soul. Opening strong with a street fight between LAX & The Lucha Brothers.
#1. The Lucha Brothers (c) vs. LAX (w/ Konnan) in a Street Fight for the Impact Tag Team Championship – Winners: Did Not Start
Before the match, Konnan gets a little blue on the mic before calling out Pentagon Jr and Fenix. They come out and take it to LAX, but sadly the officials send out security to break it up for some reason. It looks like they have it under control, but The Lucha Brothers sneakily get a bunch of chairs while LAX throw security around. They take LAX out with the chairs and introduce some tables. Lucha Bros set up two tables on different turnbuckles, but it backfires as LAX crashes them through. LAX hold up the titles and celebrate winning the fight.
#2. Scarlett Bordeaux vs. Glenn Gilberti – Winner: Scarlett Bordeaux with a powerbomb from the turnbuckle
Gilberti runs away in embarrassment, while Scarlett is emotional in victory.
– A backstage interview with Taya Valkyrie and Johnny Impact. She says Grace has little chance walking out as the champion tonight. Meanwhile, Johnny is getting popcorn to watch Kross vs. Cage later. He also wishes Brian Cage gets concussed again .. because yeah, that could mean his career is over.
– Kiera Hogan and Alisha Edwards laugh hysterically at Glenn Gilberti.
GWN Moment Of The Week: Beer Money Inc. vs. Lethal Consequences on TNA Impact
– Josh Alexander introductory promo .. wow. He looks menacingly great.
– Tessa Blanchard’s got the company by the balls, as Gail Kim has no choice but to apologize tonight. Legends come and go, but diamonds are forever.
– Rob Van Dam video highlighting his projects outside of wrestling in the upcoming program Headstrong. He wants to show how life is cool when you’re RVD.
– Madison Rayne reintroduces herself to Impact Wrestling.
– Pentagon Jr. and Fenix are definitely giving LAX another title shot after tonight, and it will be Full Metal Mayhem! Cero Miero!
– Tessa Blanchard walks down to the ring and grabs a microphone. She’s happy to be getting justice at long last. Enter Gail Kim. Tessa rants on for a bit, before Gail says she’s sorry. It’s not enough though, as Tessa wants a real apology. Gail gives her apology as sincerely as possible. But Tessa still wants an announcement of retirement now. She also wants to say sorry to Gail, that she had to come up in the business doing bra & panties matches and rolling around in mud.
Tessa claims Gail wouldn’t lace her boots if she wrestled in her era. Blanchard tells her to get out of here, but Gail has one more thing to tell her. She gave her resignation to Impact management under one condition; to come out of retirement to kick her ass! Gail attacks Tessa again and she’s fired up. Tessa is left in shock as Gail stands tall.
– oVe share how they recruited “Madman” Fulton .. by brainwashing him. As always, they are taking over everything x3
#3. Taya Valkyrie (c) vs. Jordynne Grace for the Impact Knockouts Championship – Winner: Jordynne Grace by countout because Taya faked an injury and stayed on the outside.
Taya keeps the title due to it being a countout. Brain Cage enters immediately after, and stalks Johnny. Kross gets behind Cage and chokes him out, before throwing him in to the ring post. The champion is impressed.
#4. *Main Event* Brian Cage vs. Killer Kross – Winner: Killer Kross with two Doomsday’s and help from Johnny Impact, Taya Valkyrie, and a controversial decision from the referee
Johnny has Cage where he wants him. He places a chair on Cage’s left arm and hits it with another chair. Johnny & Taya kiss and laugh at the fallen machine.
– Rosemary is the true main event. She’s got a cleaver and Allie chained up. They both enter the Undead Realm .. and Kiera as well without them knowing. Someone is singing. James Mitchell introduces the crazy citizens of the undead realm stood around a wrestling ring. Rosemary looks unimpressed. She wants her turn in the ring, and squares off against a masked heavyweight monster. He knocks her down, but she unleashes The Mist when he gets close.
Two other monster wrestlers enter, but she fights on for her friend. One of them has a sword, and he prepares to attack .. she slices his neck open with the cleaver. Su Yung and the bridesmaids enter. Kiera gets to ringside, picks up the sword, and throws it to Rosemary. She goes “Kill Bill” style and slices the bridesmaids down in one rotation. Su Yung gets in the ring and unchains Allie, who is still possessed. Allie gets on top of Rosemary and tries to stab her, while Su Yung fends Kiera off, but is unable to.
Mitchell has Kiera at knife point. He tells Rosemary to stop, as a mysterious black figure emerges. Upon taking down his hood, Kevin Sullivan is revealed. He tells Rosemary she knows how this is going to end. She wants Allie’s soul back, but is only a serpent .. remember that. Everything shes done has been for nothing. Su Yung has razor sharp claws on her hand and reaches out to finish Rosemary .. but she sidesteps and Su pierces right through Allie’s neck. She bleeds to death in Rosemary’s arms, as sad music plays. The Bunny returns, just for a brief moment .. before her demise. Goodbye Allie.
