Impact Wrestling Results (1/26/2021)

Rich Swann is out and grabs a mic. He busted his ass and dreamed that one day he would become a World Heavyweight Champion. As you see, that work has paid off. Now he is the champion, he didn’t realize how much of a target he would have on his back. But that’s alright, he will fight hard and didn’t come out here to complain. He has a little business to attend too. Rich asks Tommy to come to the ring.

At No Surrender, it’s Tommy’s 50th birthday. Rich says he helped him so much with his career. Even when he was in ECW as the Innovator of Violence. It would be his honor if he fulfilled his dream by defending his Impact World title against him. Sami Callihan appears. He calls this bull crap typical politicking by Dreamer. Rich embarrassed the company by losing to Kenny Omega. Callihan says he is the heart and soul of this company and deserves a shot more than anyone. Chris Bey interrupts him. It sounds like Swann is giving away gifts, because it will also be his birth”bey” too. Moose’s music hits.

Unlike Bey and Callihan, he has never beaten Moose. He knows Rich has a good memory of when he incapacitated his best friend and gave him a title shot. But Swann says he already told him last week he was going for the title on his time… so he has missed out. Moose attacks Swann and Willie Mack returns to make the save. It looks like the babyfaces have the upper hand, til Ken Shamrock returns. The heels take over and enjoy their handy work.

Later on backstage, Rich Swann and the others catch up with Scott D’Amore. They want a tag team match against Moose, Callihan, Shamrock and Bey, but Scott says they are missing an extra member. Scott Steiner isn’t around, but he has someone sitting in his office who could fill in. Rich Swann and everyone else don’t let on who it is, but they are stoked to see them.

#1. Matt Cardona & Josh Alexander vs. Ace Austin & Madman Fulton — Winners: Matt Cardona & Josh Alexander with the Rough Ryder

– Rohit Raju says his match with TJP isn’t for the title, but when he beats him, then that will get him a shot down the line. He asks someone to stay with him through this journey, but we can’t see their face.

– Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone return with another paid ad. Khan cares about pro wrestling and the fans; unlike Don Callis. The things he does in Impact Wrestling, it’s all just games to him. It has been one week since he entered the Impact zone, and what a zone it is. He was in the zone. Big Money Matt Hardy, Private Party and Jerry Lynn were also in the zone. They plug tomorrow’s Dynamite and Khan promises a great show.

– Brian Myers is here. Matt Cardona goes for a fist bump, but Myers does not look interested. He insults Alexander by saying he turned him down as a tag team partner to join up with his Marty Jannetty. He has a match with a former World Champion, so he welcomes Cardona to Impact and walks away.

#2. Brian Myers vs. Eddie Edwards — Winner: Brian Myers by DQ*

*Eddie Edwards is disqualified for gouging Myers’ eyes and biting his head.

– Fire n’ Flava festival is coming, but Kiera isn’t sure if it’s going to be lit. Apparently the tickets sold to a bunch of ugly people. Johnny Swinger walks by with a few women… he acknowledges them and keeps on walking. Kiera may have one of the worst ideas ever.

– Matt Hardy & The Private Party are here. They did it… they are the #contenders because he lead them to victory. Matt Hardy is putting a bounty of the Impact and AEW tag team titles. He needs them to win, and now they are going to be winners.

#3. Tenille Dashwood (w/ Kaleb with a K) vs. Rosemary (w/ Crazzy Steve) — Winner: Rosemary with As Above, So Below

– Larry D is back from jail. He’s annoyed that Rosemary cast the spell on him in Wrestle House. Rosemary laughs at him so Larry lays out Crazzy Steve.

– Johnny Swinger is getting hot over Swinger’s Palace (a gambling room). Kiera & Tasha extend an invitation to him for their festival. His “Swingerellas” and John E. Bravo can come too. Fallah Bahh can’t afford a ticket because he’s broke.

– Deonna Purrazzo is still happy about her win over Taya Valkyrie. Kimber Lee & Susan are too with their tag win over Jazz & Grace. Speaking of which, Jazz & Grace don’t think it’s over. Susan challenges Jordynne to a match next week, and she happily accepts.

– In the ring, Alisha introduces the new Impact Knockouts Champions Fire ‘N Flava. Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz brag a bunch about being the best and on top of the division. The referee says this party is a dumpster fire. They have the Swingerallas hand out their catering, some cheap old sandwiches in fast food boxes. Alisha takes a drink of whatever alcohol they brought and spits it out. There’s someone on the outside wearing a Stay Puft Marshmallow suit. They think it’s Fallah Bahh, but it turns out to be Neveah. She attacks Tasha, and Havok invades the ring to take down Kiera. After scaring the tag champs away, Alisha announced Havok & Neveah as the winners of the festival.

– Chris Sabin and James Storm are drinking together. They aren’t done with Matt Hardy & The Good Brothers. Also, they may not be Motor City Machine Guns or Beer Money, but they sure as hell are going after those titles. Storm encourages Sabin to drink shots.

#4. Joe Doering (w/ Eric Young & Cody Deaner) vs. Cousin Jake — Winner: Joe Doering

VBD attack Jake and put his ankle in a steel chair. Doering’s ready to shatter his ankle, but Young tells him not to. Eric is giving Jake a chance to think about joining the cause or leaving them alone.

#5. Rich Swann, Tommy Dreamer, Willie Mack & Trey Miguel vs. Moose, Sami Callihan, Ken Shamrock & Chris Bey — Winners: Rich Swann, Tommy Dreamer, Willie Mack & Trey Miguel

After the match, Ken Shamrock punches the ref and hooks on the Ankle Lock. Referees try saving him but struggle. And just like that, the show comes to an end.
