Nice opening promo to start the show. Josh Mathews and Don Callis introduce us to Impact Wrestling, and they are excited to be on a new channel; Josh welcomes us to the AXS era. We get a brand new opening hype video, along with a red color scheme.

#1. Josh Alexander vs. Naomichi Marufuji – Winner: Marufuji with Sliced Bread

– oVe are in the house. Security show up and tell Sami Callihan his stablemates are banned from the building. Sami says goodbye to his group, as it seems he’s going in to the steel cage match alone.

– Wentz & Dez are chilling out in the treehouse. Dez describes a nice girl he knows, before Trey walks in. He asks them who they are talking about .. and Dez says his mom; apparently Trey lives with her. They finish talking about her just in time for Fallah Bahh to join them. He says Bahh a lot in a depressed manner. So they try cheering him up by smoking the place up. The treehouse is creamed, and Fallah is suddenly sporting glasses and talking like a regular human being. He’s upset with himself for not having TJP’s back. Wentz tells him not to be lost in the sauce, he needs to go out there and believe in himself. They tell him to go kick Michael Elgin’s ass, which motivates him greatly.

#2. Rosemary, Jordynne Grace & Alexia Nicole vs. Taya Valkyrie, Madison Rayne & Kiera Hogan – Winners: Jordynne Grace, Alexia Nicole & Rosemary when Grace rolled up Taya*

*Kiera Hogan picked up a shoulder injury mid-match, which could’ve shortened this contest.

– Rob Van Dam is chilling in his pool with girlfriend Katie Forbes. Where did he get his move set from? His own head. Where did the guys of this generation get their moves from? You guessed it, Rob Van Dam. Without him, there would be no Kenny Omega, no Daniel Bryan, no Young Bucks, as everyone’s stealing his moves. RVD carried ECW as he’s one a kind, and he only turned on Rhino because he doesn’t care and is tired of hearing him talk.

#3. Desi Hit Squad, Rohit Raju & Raj Singh (w/ Gama Singh) vs. Willie Mack & Rich Swann – Winner: Willie Mack & Rich Swann

– Rhino storms in to the building and interrogates Jimmy Jacobs for information on Rob Van Dam. Jacobs tells him RVD’s on vacation, so Rhino tells his former friend that he’s getting a GORE! GORE! GORE! at Turning Point.

– Moose welcomes us to Impact Wrestling on AXS TV. He tells us how much of a legend he is, and how he proved he’s the best MMA fighter of all time when he beat Ken Shamrock at Bound For Glory. Now he’s going to show us he’s the best golfer of all time, as he’s about to hit a hole in one. He takes a big swing and heads for the green. Moose confronts two old guys who are already on the green. They won’t tell him if they saw his ball, so he throws one of them in to a sand trap. He picks up the ball and drops it in to the hole, getting a hole in one and proving he is the best of all time.

Ken Shamrock Address

Ken Shamrock is in the ring and tells us how he feels about his match at Bound For Glory. He was sure he was going to win, and it hurt when he couldn’t achieve what he set out to do. Ken had to do a lot of soul searching to figure out what’s next. He’s come to the conclusion that .. Joey Ryan’s entrance interrupts. Joey gets on the mic and Shamrock doesn’t look impressed. He thinks that Ken knows he’s got one last mountain to climb. Shamrock doesn’t know who he is, so Ryan reminds us he’s the guy who makes wrestling fun again. Ken laughs after remembering Joey is the ‘penis guy’.

But let’s get real here, he’s a real fighter and Joey’s just a gimmick. Ryan says that was a little stiff, but if he’s just a gimmick .. why’s he so afraid to touch it? Ken assures him he wasn’t about to announce his retirement, he was planning on sending a message to the locker room; he’s here to work and is ready to take on all challengers. So Joey Ryan makes it official for next week, we will see The Most Dangerous Man vs. The Most Dangerous Manhood. Shamrock accepts by shaking his hand, but Joey leans his groin towards him and Ken quickly knocks him over.

#4. [Street Fight] Ace Austin* vs. Eddie Edwards – Winner: Ace Austin with the Super Fold through the table

*Reno Scum interfered on Ace’s behalf, but Eddie took them both out.

Flashback Moment Of The Week: Su Yung vs. Jessicka Havok in No Disqualification on Impact Wrestling, September 20th, 2019. ( Havok hangs Su Yung, who later resurrects in the hospital after being declared dead)

– “Suzie” makes her debut. The Deaners seem terrified to see her there without all the makeup. There seems to be some memory loss, as Suzie doesn’t know what happened to Su Yung.

– Johnny Swinger sees tons of potential in Alisha Edwards. Ace pops in and tells him to go away as she doesn’t need sleazeballs hitting on her. Austin reminds her of the promise if he were to win the X Division title, but she says it’s complicated. So he makes up a workaround by saying it wouldn’t be anything crazy .. just dinner. Alisha agrees to meet him next week.

#5. [Steel Cage Match for the World Heavyweight Championship] Brian Cage (c) vs. Sami Callihan – Winner: Sami Callihan with a dangerous Cactus Special Piledriver from the top rope

Sami Callihan is the new Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion! He’s in shock as the referee hands him the title. Tessa Blanchard enters the ring and she’s still furious with Callihan. There’s a stare doiwn, and he smiles while holding the World Championship high above her head.
