Impact Wrestling Results (2/9/2021)

#1. Josh Alexander, Suicide, Willie Mack & Trey Miguel vs. Ace Austin, Chris Bey, Daivari & Blake Christian — Winners: Trey Miguel defeated Blake Christian by submission for his team

Sami Callihan appears on the titantron screen. He congratulates Trey Miguel. Callihan asks when are things going to get tough? Will he walk out on us? He knows Trey… he doesn’t have the passion. So you might as well save us the embarrassment and quit. Thumbs up, thumbs down. All it does is fire Miguel up.

Impact Wrestlers wish Tommy Dreamer a Happy 50th Birthday. Featuring Brian Myers, ODB, Doc Gallows, Petey Williams, Alisha, Matt Striker, Gail Kim, Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz, Hernandez and Scott D’Amore.

#2. Kimber Lee (w/ Deonna Purrazzo & Susan) vs. ODB — Winner: Kimber Lee with a Roll Up after a distraction

– Swinger’s Palace, daddy! Fallah Bahh is trying to pay for his game with a cookie as he’s out of coin. Swinger is the muscle here too… so if you can’t pay with money you better get out. Fallah asks if he can get a loan. Swinger asks if it’s anything like the money he stole? He holds out the wad of cash he stole in front of him. Fallah agrees, so they steal his cookie and the Swingerella’s show him the door.

– Susan isn’t happy with the chaos involving ODB, Jazz and Jordynne Grace. She needs to sort this out with Scott D’Amore, so she storms off to his office. Purrazzo is not happy with that and goes after her.

– Cousin Jake is alone in the ring. He thought they had it all figured out with his cousin Cody as The Deaners. But yeah, he could be with his family again, but not in the way he imagined. Eric Young and VBD enter. They are looking for an answer. Young can see that he’s starting to understand what’s going on here. There is only one answer here. Open your eyes, see the truth, be the real you, be the best version of Jake. This is the moment where you take ownership and control. You take back your life.

Jake throws down his old attire. He says if you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything. Jake stands for “Jake Something”. VBD attacks him and puts a chair around his neck. Cody Deaner stops Doering from finishing Jake because he wants to do it. EY tells Jake he has made the biggest mistake of his life. At No Surrender, he will face Cody Deaner, and he will end his sickness for good.

– Rohit Raju is with Mahabali Shera. When he was X-Division Champion, TJP couldn’t beat him. He had to turn to his monster Manik, so he has turned to Shera. Raju trusts him to have his back. At No Surrender, he will finally become two-time X-Division Champion.

– Tony Schiavone & Tony Khan are back at the Jacksonville Jaguars stadium for another paid ad. They tell us Kenta appeared last week to attack Jon Moxley. Tell us Khan, what is the forbidden door? When is he going to open the forbidden door? Tony didn’t know what it was. In the end, it turned out the forbidden door was him. And him opening up comes from being here with Impact Wrestling, he has learned so much.

Who knows who will be on Dynamite next week?! Thank you Kenny Omega & Don Callis. They opened him and the forbidden door to new things. He loves it, he wants more people to show up, and he can’t wait for tomorrow night. Enjoy the rest of your show Impact, try to get some sleep.

– Good Brothers talk about James Storm & Chris Sabin. They are really good, but the one thing they are not are Impact Tag Team Champions. It’s a personal issue. They are going to do their favourite thing in the whole world… “BEAT UP STORM & SABIN!”. Tonight, it’s going to be the exact same thing that happens at No Surrender. The same old recipe… a Magic Killer, a 1, 2, 3, and a just “Too Sweet!”

#3. Kiera Hogan (w/ Tasha Steelz) vs. Neveah (w/ Havok)  — Winner: Neveah by Disqualification

– AEW’s MJF, Chris Jericho, Tazz, Matt Hardy, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, The Young Bucks, Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz all wish Tommy Dreamer a Happy Birthday and good luck at No Surrender in their own way. MJF can’t wait to see when he croaks in the ring.

– Fire N’ Flava barge in to Scott D’Amore’s office complaining about his referee. They lost both their matches to Havok and Neveah because of him. Scott says they have been great, so he is going to take care of this. Brandon Tolle can’t mess it up at No Surrender, because their title match at No Surrender will be No DQ. That is totally not what they were asking for.

– Larry D tells us that he has someone to take care of Rosemary for them, and her name is Tenille Dashwood. She insults Decay’s tag team name. At No Surrender, no one is freakish enough to team with them, so they don’t stand a chance. Kaleb with a K is ready for some action tonight, so he will take on anyone from tooth decay! And here they come… luckily for you Kaleb with a K! They found someone and it happens to be past their feeding time. It’s Black Taurus from AAA! My goodness.

#4. Black Taurus (w/ Decay) vs. Kaleb with a K (w/ Tenille Dashwood & XXXL)  — Winner: Black Taurus

– Brian Myers pays off Hernandez for what he did last week. They come to a deal that he pays him half before their match at No Surrender, and the other half after they win. After Myers walks away, Fallah Bahh eyes up Hernandez’s money. Is he going to steal even more from Super Mex?

#5. [Impact World Team Championship] The Good Brothers, Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. Beer Guns, James Storm & Chris Sabin — Winners: The Good Brothers by DQ*

*Matt Hardy and Private Party attacked James Storm & Chris Sabin, not only to cost the Good Brothers the match, but to stop Beer Guns becoming champions.

– Matt Hardy really wants those belts… he’s going to give his boys a “bonus” if they win the match. Scott D’Amore welcomes them to Impact, although he thinks his boys crossed the line tonight. Matt says they are just kids and it was in the heat of the moment. Private Party spoiled the party, because the Beer Guns are bound to spoil the match at No Surrender. There’s no way they can interfere in the match… if they are in the match! D’Amore walks off after dropping this bombshell.

Contract Signing

It will be a special day at No Surrender, not just because of the PPV, but because it’s Tommy Dreamer’s 50th birthday. As the champion Rich Swann requested this match, so he gets to sign first. Tommy Dreamer says when all this started, he never gave him his answer. He has to thank him and Scott for this, because there are people in the back who are way more deserving of this. It’s all about history.

The first time he ever won a world title, he had to beat one of his best friends Taz. Second time, he had to wrestle another great friend Christian. He says Rich is one of the best he has ever seen, but he has holes in defense. Tommy is not going to hold back and he will go for it. Oh boy, here comes Moose.

He rarely gets angry, but the fact this match is taking place pisses him off. Swann promised him a Impact title match first. Rich is meant to be a fighting champion right? Meant to be one of the best wrestlers in the world? But it seems to him like he’s taking the night off, as he’s wrestling a guy turning 50-years-old.

D’Amore warns him off, and says if he gets involved in this he will suspend him forever. Moose has no reason to interfere in this match because he knows he can beat both these guys. He already beat Dreamer, and he can hurt Swann any time because he is the real champion. Tommy Dreamers says that back in July 2020, he got a text saying “damn, I know what you’re talking about now.”

He says the company was ready to cut him loose, but he lit a fire under him. Tommy promises that he will continue to get knocked down, but he will always keep getting back up, because there’s a lot of dreamers out there. So long as he’s breathing, he will use his career for good. He wants to wrestle and he wants to win, to spread good across the world.
