Impact Wrestling Results (4/8/2021)

#1.Alisha, Nevaeh & Tenille Dashwood (w/ Kaleb with a K) vs. Jordynne Grace, Havok & Rosemary (w/ Crazzy Steve & Black Taurus) — Winners: Grace, Havok & Rosemary with the Red Wedding

– Matt Cardona didn’t come here to fight Brian Myers, he came for an opportunity. He asks Scott to give him a match tonight. He got something, Jake Something specifically. Cardona will prove why he is always ready.

– Taylor Wilde vignette! “Let’s Get Wilde”. It’s confirmed she is returning soon. Awesome!

– Susan is snapping. It feels like she is slowly reverting back to Susie or Su Yung.

#2. Matt Cardona vs. Jake Something — Winner: No Contest because Brian Myers attacked both men

Myers grabs a mic. He has had time to do some soul searching and will accept his match at Rebellion. Expect to take the Roster Cut. He does the old Raven post.

– XXXL don’t believe Trey Miguel when he says he isn’t interested in saving Sami Callihan tonight. They say it sounds like excuses and he’s lacking passion.

– Eric Young says in every great war there are important battles. This movement will move forward. Last week he lost to James Storm, but it was Deaner who failed. He knows that failure has consequences. Eric knows he can see the big picture when he fails. We’re going to seize the opportunity of the day. He will do what he needs to do tonight, alone, because he knows how important this is. Deaner won’t allow that. He will show them. This world doesn’t belong to them, it belongs to us. Violent By Design.

Before the next match, Trey Miguel is reluctant to join the match. He’s more interested in fighting XXXL than helping Callihan.

#3. XXXL, Larry D & Acey Romero vs. Sami Callihan & Trey Miguel — Winners: Callihan & Miguel with Trey’s submission

Trey isn’t interested in Sami holding his hand up high in victory.

Swinger’s Palace daddy! Sabin, Storm and Harris are playing games. Sabin’s got a match, so Storm gives Harris the rest of their chips.

#4. Chris Sabin (w/ James Storm) vs. Deaner — Winner: Chris Sabin

Young gets on the titantron. Deaner set the trap for tonight. They have Chris Harris! Rhino comes in and GORES Storm. Violent By Design have played an absolute blinder. It wasn’t about winning or losing for Deaner. Joe Doering holds Harris down so Eric can have his way.

– Ace Austin and Madman Fulton are backstage. Josh Alexander interrupts their conversation and tells them Austin is involved in a triple threat match with him at Rebellion for the X Division title. Of course, the other guy is TJP. They argue about who is going to win. Tommy Dreamer shows up to book a tag team match between them, which settles things right down.

– Tommy Dreamer asks Eric Young if he thinks he can keep getting away with things. He’s not buying in to Young’s BS about everyone being a sickness, etc. Young threatens him and says he will get rid of him. Dreamer offers him a tag team match at Hardcore Justice. Young accepts, but says he brought this on himself.

– Jazz gives us a back story of her early days in wrestling. How she got in to ECW, having to change how she works in WWE. In the back of her mind, she always wanted to be part of Impact. There was no way she could turn down a chance at winning tag team gold. She had a chance to win the Knockouts title, and the only reason she didn’t win was because of interference. At Hardcore Justice, she is putting her career on the line against Deonna Purrazzo’s title. She will become champion.

– Deonna Purrazzo watched the package and it made her emotional. It reminds her of watching wrestling as a child. Jazz helped to pave the way for girls like her. But what she built in the past is crushed under the rubble of what she has built. Purrazzo is building a new foundation for the next generation of wrestlers. The only way to do right by Jazz is to go out there and not be defeated, and give back by retiring her.

– Tommy Dreamer saw what Brian Myers did out there. He’s always pissing people off. Jake Something wants a match against him. At Hardcore Justice, Tommy is the booker, so he’s putting him up against Jake Something in a Blind Games match. In other words, it’s a blindfold hardcore match. Myers thinks it’s stupid and walks away ranting.

#5. Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers vs. Rich Swann, Willie Mack & Eddie Edwards — Winners: Swann, Mack & Edwards with a combination move on Karl Anderson

Despite Don Callis interference, Swann’s team still found a way to win. Omega & Good Brothers underestimated their chemistry. This is the first loss Omega has suffered on Impact Wrestling. See you next week!
