Impact Wrestling Results (6/17/2021)

Moose bangs on Scott D’Amores door. He tells him he got screwed out of the title, so it’s only fair he gets his rematch at Slammiversary. Scott says everyone’s pissed, the Anthem Sports board of directors is sending someone down to the Impact zone to get it sorted, which has never happened before!

#1. TJP (w/ Fallah Bahh) vs. Black Taurus (w/ Crazzy Steve) — Winner: TJP with the Mamba Splash

Ace Austin is looking to form an alliance with Rohit Raju leading in to the Ultimate X match so they can have a level playing field. Raju agrees with him, but he also has an ace up his sleeve.

Chris Sabin returns and doesn’t like Moose’s demands, so he challenges him to a match at Slammiversary.

#2. Josh Alexander vs. Madman Fulton (w/ Ace Austin) — Winner: Josh Alexander

Ace Austin attacks Josh after the bell. Petey Williams comes down to even the score. He goes to hit the Canadian Destroyer but Rohit Raju hits him from behind. Trey Miguel is out next and he’s on fire. A wild Shera appears! He takes Trey & Petey before Josh gets in his face. Shera chokeslams the X-Division Champ on to his knee. I’m guessing this was Raju’s ace in the hole. He, Shera, Austin and Fulton holds their arms up in victory.

Backstage, Deonna Purrazzo is grilling Kimber Lee & Susan because their plans haven’t been going well for months. Susan thinks she wouldn’t be champion without them, but this just leads to Deonna saying she doesn’t need either of them.

W. Morrissey says the only thing he can trust in this industry, in this life, is himself. Next up is the debut of Steve Maclin, formerly known as Steve Cutler of WWE’s The Forgotten Sons stable.

#3. Steve Maclin vs. Page — Winner: Steve Maclin

The tension continues to rise between the tag team partners of Rachael Ellering and Jordynne Grace.

Don Callis says if you have siblings, you understand that you may squabble, but at the end of the day you work things out. He & Scott D’Amore have different skill sets which has worked well to revive Impact Wrestling, but the problem with Scott is he’s too emotional and gets overly attached to the talent, while he sees them more like numbers on a spreadsheet. It’s not the first time they have talked about firing Sami Callihan.

He isn’t too worried about the Anthem executive, he is expecting them to come and thank him for getting rid of Callihan. Come bearing gifts because he got rid of a problem which should have been dealt with a long time ago.

#4. Rachael Ellering vs. Tenille Dashwood (w/ Kaleb) — Winner: Tenille Dashwood with an assist from Kaleb

Fire N’ Flava are harassing cleaners and backstage staff by getting them to say they are the best Knockouts Tag Team of all time. Rosemary & Havok have something to say about that. It quickly escalates and they dump Kiera Hogan in the trash. Wait… it’s worse than trash! It’s Mickie James’ things stuffed in to a trash bag. Wow, that’s low.

#5. Satoshi Kojima (w/ Eddie Edwards) vs. Rhino (w/ Violent By Design) — Winner: Satoshi Kojima*

*With this win, he earned a tag team title shot against Violent By Design with Eddie Edwards as his partner.

Sami Callihan is in the ring ranting about being fired. Security jump in to get him out, but he won’t leave. Scott D’Amore enters and calms him down enough to disappear with a (ICU) flash. Don Callis is quick to make his presence known and gloats a bit. Tommy Dreamer is here and he reveals that the Anthem Sports executive is him!

He went to the office and has been working on their behalf to get to the bottom of this. Dreamer says Callihan was never fired as he reinstated him immediately. After much deliberation, it is decided that Don Caliis is fired from Impact Wrestling.
