Impact Wrestling Results (6/24/2021)
#1. Kiera Hogan (w. Tasha Steelz) vs. Rosemary (w/ Havok) — Winner: Rosemary
– Chris Bey says the hardest part about business is minding your own. His business is going to Slammiversary to become two-time X-Division Champion… he is cut off by Trey Miguel. He says there are alliances being formed going in to Ultimate X, and he doesn’t want to be on the losing side. Petey Williams tells Bey he better pick a side before it’s picked for him.
– Tommy Dreamer regrets anyone losing their job, but Don Callis put himself in the situation. Scott D’Amore tells him he wasn’t overly pleased last week after he went over his head, this isn’t easy for him to do, but there is some validity to what he said. He admitted that his friendship with Callis clouded the best interests of the company. Dreamer says he will always have his back and oversee things. D’Amore doesn’t think he needs to oversee things, he has this. The board of directors asked Tommy to continue on as a consultant, which isn’t what D’Amore wants.
#2. Deonna Purrazzo vs. Susan (w/ Kimber Lee) — Winner: Deonna Purrazzo via submission
Kimber Lee pushes the champion off Susan, who responds by calling her a loser and she’s done with both of them.
– Swinger’s Palace, daddy. I missed much of this segment because my stream cut out. The team of TJP & Fallah Bahh exchange words with Rich Swann & Willie Mack about the tag team championship, which leads to them wanting to face each other next week.
– Don Callis shakes Tommy Dreamer’s hand and says there is no hard feelings. He feels sorry for D’Amore having to answer to him, it should make for good television because he’s the heart & soul of this place. Don says Dreamer might be broken down but he still has it in him to wrestle, so what about this for an offer? Tommy finds a couple of guys and we have a six-man tag with Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers? Team Dreamer vs. Team Callis. Sounds like a good way to end his career.
#3. Trey Miguel & Petey Williams vs. Rohit Raju & Shera — Winners: Rohit Raju & Shera with the Drive By
Ace Austin & Madman Fulton provide a slight distraction and they get involved after the match ends. The X-Division Champion Josh Alexander enters the fray to even the odds. Madman Fulton blindsides him and the heels get the upper hand. Chris Bey is on the ramp recording the action for his social media? It doesn’t look like he has picked a side, but it’s not like he’s helping the faces yet.
Sami Callihan is with Tommy Dreamer. They are asked if he will be part of Team Dreamer, but Callihan hasn’t decided yet. If it means he gets close enough to Kenny Omega to bash his brains in, then let’s do it. Moose appears and simply says “I’m in”. Dreamer asks if they should tell him who the third partner is, but Callihan says he doesn’t always need to play by the rules.
Rachael Ellering & Jordynne Grace
Rachael Ellering somberly tells us she should have seen the red flags earlier. She asks her partner Jordynne Grace to come to the ring. Ellering continues the serious, yet careful tone while reflecting on their journey to the Knockouts Tag Team titles. A year ago she was at the lowest point in her entire life and it was so hard every day. She has people who love and care about her, but they kept pushing her in to this pool of positivity. It’s going to be great, everything will work out. It got to the point she got sick of hearing that. Then she came here to Impact and did the same to Jordynne.
It’s not what she needed or wanted and she should’ve seen it. Ellering wants to be a good friend to her. Jordynne cuts her off. She doesn’t care about Tenille or anyone else. Before she got here, she defeated the longest reigning Knockouts Champion to earn the title. She competed in the X-Division and Ironman. Grace loved having her as a partner, but she can do this herself. Ellering knows this and mentions Tenille again, but this infuriates Grace and she warns her not to say that again. Jazz makes her way to the ring.
She loves the both of them, they know this. It’s why she brought them together. Without even watching them work together, she knew they would do great things. They shouldn’t listen to the rumors because she knows they can get over it. She thinks Grace’s ego could be getting in the way. Ellering wants nothing more than to team with Jordynne going forward, but she doesn’t know if she wants the same. Jazz asks what she wants to do. Grace doesn’t know, she needs time to think about this. She walks out and Tenille Dashwood makes her entrance almost immediately.
Tenille thinks Ellering is embarrassing herself at this point. Clearly she is right here, the solution. It’s like she can’t see what’s in front of her. Ellering doesn’t know how to say this anymore clearly… it’s a no, a hard no, hell no, just no. The only time she wants to be in the ring with her is if she’s her opponent. How about we have a good rematch? Dashwood tries getting a cheap shot on her but misses. She & Kaleb run away after losing a fight with Jazz & Ellering.
#4. Sam Beale (w/ Brian Myers) vs. Jake Something — Winner: Jake Something
Brian Myers tells Sam he shouldn’t blame himself for that loss. Find someone else to blame, that was Jake Something’s fault. He’s unprofessional and he will never be professional or a top guy. Beale is taking notes while he’s on the floor. Everything Jake Something has ever done, do the opposite.
