Here are the results for the episode of Impact Wrestling airing June 9th, 2020. Check the link if you missed the previous episode here: #1 Contender Final

We open the show with Scott D’Amore and Don Callis talking about the Impact World Heavyweight Championship situation. What are they planning?

#1. Michael Elgin vs. Ken Shamrock vs. Sami Callihan — Winner: Michael Elgin pinned Shamrock after the Elgin Bomb

– Jordynne Grace doesn’t feel uneasy, it feels like home. What makes her uneasy, is having to sit at home and not being able to defend the title. It drives you a little crazy after a while, and she’s looking forward to returning to normalcy. Tonight, when she drives Taya Valkyrie’s head through the mat, that’s when she knows everything is back to normal.

– Wentz & Dez talk about what could have been after last week, but they get quickly hush when Trey walks in and sits with them. He gets pissed pretty quickly as he wants to know who attacked him last week. Dez thinks it was Ace Austin. The North show up, and it’s been a long time since we’ve seen them on an episode of Impact in a non-cinematic fashion. They say The Rascalz are focusing too much on the wrong thing, when they should be focusing on the tag team titles. They are more than ready to take on The North.

#2.¬† Tasha Steelz (w/ Kiera Hogan) vs. Suzie — Winner: Tasha Steelz with a Cutter

– Ace Austin hasn’t shown up for his interview yet so Miller waits. He does finally appear and she gets a little flustered. It looks like Ace Austin is going to be crowned the new Impact World Champion later tonight. But Moose is here again, and he thinks it would be too bad if he doesn’t challenge him for the TNA World Championship.

It seems Moose wants himself vs. Austin at Slammiversary, but Ace walks away without giving him an answer. Hernandez walks in and quickly challenges Moose to a match next week, and the TNA World Champ accepts.

– Tasha Steelz & Kiera Hogan are very happy after the win over Suzie. Oh oh, it’s Havok and Neveah. The mood changes and Havok thinks they are scared of them. Kiera & Tasha want to get out of it and say they are off the clock, so not now, but maybe another time.

Flashback Moment: Mike Bennett & Maria Kanellis Talk About Ethan Carter III

– Rohit Raju finds Rhino after he was gored last week. Raju thinks he’s looking for a tag team partner… but Rhino says he already has a partner and “He Has Kids“. Rhino tells him to get out of here before he breaks him half with another Gore. Raju walks away for a moment, but quickly returns to attack Rhino from behind.

#3. Willie Mack & Cousin Jake vs. Chris Bey & Johnny Swinger¬† — Winners: Willie Mack & Cousin Jake with the Stunner on Swinger

Whoa! It’s Cody Deaner here to make the save. He & Jake look so super happy to see each other that they run toward each other, but they quickly remember social distancing and choose not to.

– Rosemary is still flirting with Johnny Bravo, but Taya Valkyrie finally returns. Taya is annoyed there isn’t a decent welcome back brigade. She runs him down and makes him feel like nothing as usual. Rosemary says she abandoned them. Taya ignores her to plug her new mini figurine. Rosemary says they need to dominate the Knockout’s Division which makes Valkyrie excited to the point they need to go find matching outfits.

World Championship Address

– Scott D’Amore addresses the Impact World Championship situation. He’s about to announce something but Ace Austin’s music interrupts. Austin says that D’Amore was here to announce that he is the new World Champion. Michael Elgin’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring. He’s unhappy that his match at Rebellion didn’t happen, so as far as he sees it: #1 get out of my ring, or #2 he fights him. But the fact is, no one can handle him, and not a single person back there can handle Michael Elgin. A familiar music plays… Eddie Edwards is back! He wants to be involved as he didn’t get his title shot either.

Impact Wrestling isn’t about handing out championships, you have to earn it by fighting for it. Scott D’Amore says that’s right, you have to fight to earn a championship in Impact Wrestling. No one in the ring is becoming champion tonight, but at Slammiversary they will get to EARN the title in a five-way against Tessa Blanchard. Austin is livid as he just won the whole tournament. The fifth man is Trey, who springboards in to the ring and attacks Austin. It breaks down as everyone brawls.

#4. Crazzy Steve vs. Jacob Crist (w/ Joseph P. Ryan, Rob Van Dam & Katie Forbes) — Winner: Jacob Crist with a roundhouse kick

#5. [Knockouts Championship] Jordynne Grace (c) vs. Taya Valkyrie (w/ Rosemary & Johnny Bravo) — Winner: Jordynne Grace makes Valkyrie tap out

Deonna Purrazzo is here! And Jordynne Grace looks slightly amused. Deonna offers a handshake. The champion accepts, but the very second she does, Purrazzo takes her down and locks in the Fujiwara Armbar. I know it’s pretty cliche by this point, but it’s safe to say she’s made an impact. And that’s all folks, thanks for reading.
