Don Callis & Josh Mathews are in the ring introducing everyone to the show. We get a recap of Sami Callihan vs. Tessa Blanchard at Slammiversary. Looks like they’re teaming up tonight. Callihan is adamant that Tessa needs to listen to him, but she responds by claiming she is the leader, and if he follows her direction they will win.

We are informed of a mash up tournament with eight teams, where arch rivals are paired up with the chance of earning a shot at the World Championship.

#1. [First Round] Moose & Eddie Edwards vs. Rohit Raju & Cody Deaner – Winners: Moose & Eddie Edwards

Post-match, The Desi Hit Squad & The Deaners have a word with each other, before it breaks down in to a fight. It doesn’t last long though, as Desi Hit Squad bail out.

– Backstage, Ace & Austin & Aidan Prince talk about their upcoming tournament match. Austin cuts Prince off, saying he really doesn’t want to team with him. Prince unexpectedly agrees and walks away. Does that mean Austin needs to find a new partner? We pan to Eddie Edwards & Moose .. who despite being enemies for months, have found enough respect to celebrate their win.

#2. [First Round] Madman Fulton & Rich Swann vs. Wentz & Jake Crist – Winners: Jake Crist & Wentz with the Fisherman’s Buster after Fulton turned on his partner

– Ace Austin asks Madison Rayne if she wants to be his partner tonight. She says in which level of hell .. would a queen partner with a joker? It’s a firm no (Madison has reverted back to “Queen Bee” mode). But wait a minute? A jolly Stone Rockwell walks up and encourages Austin to admit he’s found a partner for tonight. Ace reluctantly agrees.

#3. [First Round] Michael Elgin & Willie Mack vs. Ace Austin & Stone Rockwell – Winners: Michael Elgin & Willie Mack with the Elgin Bomb

– Sami Callihan likes it when a plan comes together. Now these idiots in Impact management want to do a mash up tournament? oVe are gonna play the game, inferring they will use the “Fingerpoke of Doom” (made famous in WCW) to ensure they will get to the Finals and take over everything! Everything! Everything! Thumbs up, thumbs down.

– Jimmy Jacobs asks if Taya Valkyrie’s next match will be for the title. She scoffs at the question, saying she has 30 days to play with .. so of course it’s not for the title. Jacobs asks where Johnny is, and John E. Bravo jokes they aren’t married yet. Taya is disgusted with the remark. Before the next match, Trey enters wearing oVe attire .. possibly to play mind games with Callihan.

#4. [First Round] Sami Callihan & Tessa Blanchard vs. Dave Crist & Trey – Winners: Sami Callihan & Tessa Blanchard with the Magnum and Cactus Special Piledriver

– Backstage, Tessa pushes Sami while he’s drinking water. They’re at boiling point, but the night’s not over yet.

GWN Moment Of The Week: Ohio Versus Everything (Callihan & Crist Brothers) vs. Eddie Edwards, Moose and Tommy Dreamer in a House of Hardcore match at Impact Wrestling Redemption 2018

#5. [Non-Title] Taya Valkyrie vs. Jessicka Havok vs. Madison Rayne – Winner: Havok with the Tombstone Piledriver on Madison Rayne, after Valkyrie bailed

– Michael Elgin in a backstage interview. Tonight, he & Willie Mack will win the main event, so they will go on to Unbreakable where he’ll certainly become #1 contender again. At Slammiversary, Brian Cage got lucky, he was so incredibly close to walking out with the title. Mike is in high spirits before the next match, as he’s got the chance of sending six, perhaps seven people to the hospital.

#5. [Mash Up Tournament Final] Eddie Edwards & Moose vs. Sami Callihan & Tessa Blanchard vs. Jake Crist & Wentz vs. Michael Elgin & Willie Mack – Winners*: Sami Callihan & Tessa Blanchard** with the Cactus Jack special and Magnum on Jake Crist

*Eliminations: #1. Michael Elgin eliminated Edwards & Moose with the Elgin Bomb. #2 Sami Callihan eliminated Mack & Elgin with the Cactus Special (after Elgin bailed on Mack).

**With this victory, it means a rematch will take place between Sami Callihan & Tessa Blanchard in two weeks, with the winner going on to face Brian Cage for the Impact World Heavyweight Championship.
