Impact Wrestling Results (7/21/2022)

#1. Chelsea Green & Deonna Purrazzo vs. Mia Yim & Jordynne Grace — Winners: Green & Purrazzo

– Honor No More doesn’t understand why they are the bad guys, when Heath is attacking them from behind. He’s going to pay. Eddie Edwards asks where PCO was when Heath was attacking Vincent. Mistakes cannot and will not be tolerated anymore. Failure is no longer an option. Maria says tonight there can’t be any excuses against Ace Austin and Chris Bey.

#2. [X Division Championship] ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey vs. Deaner (w/ Joe Doering) — Winner: Bailey retains

– Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green tell Gail Kim to shut up because it’s time for her to listen. They think Deonna should be #1 contender for Jordynne Grace’s title because she pinned Mia Yim tonight. Gail Kim says they are both #1 contender, but for the tag team titles, and they’ll get their opportunity at Emergence.

– Eric Young says all Deaner is doing is proving he still has the sickness. Deaner denies it, but Young says either has it or he reviles the sickness. Deaner says he reviles it, and Young says if that’s true, if he truly reviles the sickness, then he will prove it by eliminating the sickness.

#3. Madison Rayne (w/ Gisele Shaw) vs. Masha Slamovich — Winner: Masha Slamovich

– Gujjar is interested in wrestling Brian Myers, but he deflects by saying that Vincent was talking smack about him. So, instead of wrestling each other, Myers goes looking for Vincent so they can have a match.

#4. Honor No More’s Matt Taven & Mike Bennett (w/ Maria Kanellis) vs. Bullet Club’s Chris Bey & Ace Austin — Winners: Bullet Club

– Steve Maclin isn’t worried about Sami Callihan. He’s predictable and this is what he was made for. Callihan can play all the games he wants, but this is war. Sami appears from nowhere and a fight breaks out. Moose shows up and holds Sami’s arms back so Macklin can hit him with a pipe. They’re close to taking him out, but Callihan uses his phone to warp out of there. How does he do that?! I need one of those.

– Havok is back but she’s not herself… she’s “Jessicka”. I’d say she’s more like Taya Valkyrie than Rosemary now. Creepy!

– Rich Swann tells Scott D’Amore and Josh Alexander that he has his mojo back, and he never got a rematch for the Impact World Championship. D’Amore respects what he’s been doing, but they have a title match going on at Emergence. It could happen later, but he should look forward to next week when he goes one-on-one with the debuting Kushida.

#5. [World Championship #1 Contender] Alex Shelley vs. Chris Sabin — Winner: Shelley via submission

Violent By Design attack Motor City Machine Guns from behind. It’s KUSHIDA! Alex Shelley’s former Time Splitters tag team partner. He takes out Deaner & Doering and checks out MCMG. As VBD look on, Kushida raises Shelley and Sabin’s arms up in victory.
