Impact Wrestling Results (7/7/2022)

#1. [X Division Championship] ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey (c) vs. Alan Angels — Winner: Mike Bailey retains

While Bailey & Angels share a moment of respect, Violent By Design’s Joe Doering and Deaner blindside them. It’s not over Josh Alexander until they say it’s over. Deaner tells Alexander to come out to the ring right now. Wait… it’s Eric Young, he’s back! He does not look impressed.

EY asks them what happened. How did they end up here? This was not designed by him. It was not part of his design. He is the designer. Deaner tries to explain that when he couldn’t beat Alexander, Joe could do it. Young said under his watch, Doering was undefeated… and now look at him. Now it’s clear that the sickness has taken hold of both of them. He thought, he prayed that they were different. Young thought his vision was clear. These people can’t see the truth because they are worthless like everyone backstage.

Now he is stuck with a difficult decision. Maybe the only choice is he purges them both. Deaner says he is 100% right and he can see it, they see it, but now it’s crystal clear. He asks him for a chance to prove that they can make this right. Young says OK, but this needs to be clear. They need to have no doubt that moving forward, this world belongs to him.

– Backstage, Honor No More says they get screwed over time, after time again. Impact doesn’t want them there because they don’t believe in its mission statement. Sometimes the truth can hurt, and that is why Impact has been fighting them every step of the way. They don’t deserve and can’t stop them.

Maria says they can’t have setbacks or accept failure. Edwards says they need to make a decision, and it is on PCO to decide how much he truly believes in their message. They don’t need to hear his answer, they need to see his answer when he faces Black Taurus. Failure is no longer an option.

– Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green are complaining about Mia Yim and Mickie James. Gail Kim enters the conversation and tells them that Green will have a singles match with James next week and no one will be allowed at ringside. Purrazzo & Green aren’t happy with that decision.

#2. Laredo Kid vs. Trey Miguel — Winner: Trey Miguel

– Backstage, Doering & Deaner are crashing through to find Josh Alexander. Motor City Machine Guns get in their way and security quickly rush in to detain the escalating situation. Alexander tells them he’s right here and it’s not over.

– A vignette airs showing the upcoming debut of Killer Kelly. She previously worked in NXT UK.

– Steve Maclin and James Storm have a little word. Storm asks Maclin if he wants some, come find him next week.

#3. PCO (w/ Vincent) vs. Black Taurus (w/ Crazzy Steve) — Winner: PCO

Honor No More is pleased and joins PCO in the ring. They think about attacking Crazzy Steve, but Heath comes from behind and takes out Kenny King before running into the crowd.

– Backstage, we have Bullet Club’s Good Brothers, Chris Bey, and Ace Austin. They are good fighters and are hungry for some action. Austin says this is the perfect opportunity, as the new guy, to get into some business with Honor No More next week.

– Brian Myers insults Johnny Swinger and his dungeon, daddy. None of them are getting a title shot. Gujjar politely asks Myers for a shot, and the champ comes up with a crazy idea. What if Gujjar faces Swinger, and the winner gets to challenge him for the title? We may see that next week.

#4. Rich Swann vs. Shera (w/ Raj Singh) — Winner: Rich Swann

– Gisele Shaw is on thin ice because Masha Slamovich keeps sending death threats to Tenille Dashwood. Unsure how it’s her fault, but I guess The Influence has to take it on someone.

– Rosemary isn’t happy that they didn’t have the numbers against The Influence. She needs to go the Undead Realm to find Havok. Taya Valkyrie wants to go to, but Rosemary warns her it’s not safe. Taya isn’t taking no for an answer because friends stick together. Next week, they both look for Havok in the Undead Realm.

#5. [#1 Contenders] Deonna Purrazzo vs. Mia Yim — Winner: Mia Yim

Jordynne Grace enters the ring and shows Yim some respect. She had the chance to attack her from behind, but thought better of it. And this concludes another episode of Impact Wrestling. Thanks for joining us!
