WWE RAW (4/14/2025)
Michael Cole has a word with Gunther in the ring. Last week, Jey Uso told Gunther he isn’t afraid of him no more, and he is here to tell everyone that Jey is full of crap. Over the boos, Gunther states he is the greatest asset and champion for this company. He is the greatest World Champion of all time. He refuses to let somebody like Jey Uso ruin that. When the bell rings at WrestleMania, he still won’t be able to lace his boots, and Jey will lose for the fourth consecutive time.
Gunther was told he went too far with Jimmy, and that he had “lost control”, but he assures everyone has never lost control in his entire life. He was in full control when he made Jimmy bleed, and he loved every second of it. Jey better pray to God, because if he had the chance, he would have drowned Jey in Jimmy’s blood. He will enjoy beating the hell out of Jey Uso and leaving WrestleMania as the World Heavyweight Champion.
#1. Bayley (w/ Lyra Valkyria) vs. Liv Morgan (w/ Raquel Rodriguez) – Winner: Bayley
#2. Julius Creed (w/ American Made) vs. Rey Mysterio (w/ LWO) – Winner: Rey Mysterio
#3. AJ Styles vs. Karrion Kross (w/ Scarlett) – Winner: AJ Styles
Logan Paul appears to congratulate Styles on his win, before sharing a video package hyping himself. AJ isn’t impressed and tells him to get in the ring so they can start WrestleMania early. Karrion Kross attacks AJ and distracts him long enough for Logan to take advantage and hit the Pulverizer.
During the break, Chad Gable hypes El Grande Americano ahead of his match against Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania.
Jey Uso makes his way to ringside and stands on the announce table. He is locked in for himself, his family, and the fans. He heard Gunther talking earlier… and he mad. He’s afraid of getting his ass beat at WrestleMania. Jey enjoys some more yeeting with the fans.
As Bron Breakker attempts to talk about his title match at WrestleMania, he is blindsided and beaten up by the Judgment Day.
#4. Penta vs. Finn Balor – Winner: No Contest after Breakker’s interference
A fight breaks out between all four involved in the Intercontinental title match. Penta stands tall in the end after hitting a dive on his rivals.
Paul Heyman is sat with CM Punk backstage until Roman Reigns arrives. He quickly goes after his Tribal Chief, who isn’t waiting around. They head to the ring together.
Heyman is ready to hand him the microphone, but Reigns brushes past him to get his own. After asking the fans to acknowledge him, he says it is clear they would never betray their Tribal Chief. But someone else might. Reigns asks Heyman why he betrayed him. The Wise Man says it is not a betrayal, he is simply paying back a favor. Reigns believes the only person getting screwed over with this favor is him. He never asked for any help, so how can he keep tabs on Heyman’s dumbass favor to ask for Punk’s help? Seth Rollins enters.
He says this triple threat is the most important match in the history of this company, because the winner will lead this company in to a new era. Reigns is finally starting to get it. They can’t allow guys like CM Punk to lead the way. Guys who take their ball and go home when times get hard, only to return and leech off of other’s hard work. The business needs more guys like Seth Rollins.
That last piece of the puzzle Reigns hasn’t figured out is that favors are a choice. Heyman is as dishonorable as they come, so he does not expect his favor to be returned. He is not in Punk’s corner by chance, as he has made a choice. It’s not just a betrayal, or returning a favor, but he is choosing CM Punk over Roman Reigns.
Reigns agrees with Rollins. Heyman made his choice, and Roman will make his own. He hits Rollins with a surprise attack. Not long after that, he pushes Heyman to the mat, which brings out CM Punk, and he takes it to Reigns. After Punk is hit with a spear, Rollins recovers and hits Reigns with a steel chair shot reminiscent of the one that destroyed The Shield all those years ago.As Rollins stands tall over his WrestleMania opponents with chair in hand, a distraught Heyman looks on in shock.
