It’s time! The final stop on the Road to WrestleMania commences shortly, and with around 24 hours until John Cena kicking off WrestleMania, Friday Night SmackDown is live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

The Undisputed Tag Team Champions are out! Mic in hand… before they can begin talking, they are interrupted by Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. OHH OOHH OHHH OHH OHH OOHHHH OOOHH….
Sami says before they win the titles at Mania tomorrow, they need to clear up some stuff.
KO says there’s a ton of history between the four of them, and he had a lot of respect for The Usos until they started to do Roman’s bidding. KO says he sees fear in their eyes, fear that they are on the cusp of losing their titles.
Jimmy Uso retorts, talking about how he and Jey are real brothers, tied by blood, while Sami and KO wish but can never have what they have. Sami Zayn says there’s more to family than blood, there’s loyalty, before Jey Uso asks him what he knows about loyalty.
Sami responds that he was loyal to Jey, and the Bloodline, from the day he got involved with them, but Jey was the one who chose blood over loyalty, who chose Roman Reigns over Sami Zayn, despite Roman never having been loyal to either of them, especially Jey.
“Alright, this is just brilliant by KO and especially Sami.”
Jey responds, saying that tomorrow night, things with Sami and KO will end the same way they always do, they’ll lose the big match, and then KO will turn on Sami. Meanwhile, the Usos will remain the Undisputed Tag Team Champions. Both teams stare down. As The Usos are exit, out come the Street Profits, and the two teams stare down for a few seconds on the entrance ramp before be head to the commercial break…
#1. Montez Ford vs Ricochet vs Erik vs Chad Gable — Winner: Ricochet
Following the match, we cut to the back where Roman Reigns arrives to his locker room, with The Bloodline acknowledging him. Meanwhile, Bobby Lashley is seen training ahead of the Andre the Giant Batte Royal, which is next on SmackDown! We also see a video package hyping up Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte Flair tomorrow night.

After the match, we see another video package hyping up Cody Rhodes ahead of Sunday, when he challenges Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania. We also see a glimpse of him backstage.

Backstage, we see Rey Mysterio arrive as he will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony later tonight. Back from the break, we see another video package hyping up Rey vs Dominik at WrestleMania.
“Michael Cole finally makes a half-decent hype up announcement… he really wants Rey to whoop Dom’s ass at Mania.”
Legado del Fantasma approach Rey backstage, with Santos Escobar offering him moral support as well as backup against the Judgement Day. Rey thanks him, before handing them Latino World Order t-shirts.

Ladies and gents, it’s finally time! The American Nightmare is here! WOOAAAHOOHHHH!!! Cody Rhodes takes L.A. on a ride and resuscitates the dead crowd. Cody was singing for a bit, but apparently the song isn’t that P.G., so he comes back to the point.
Mr. Nightmare takes a shot at Roman, noting how it took over eight years for WWE’s dozens of millions of dollars investment in Roman Reigns to finally start paying off. He says on Sunday, he will become the Head of the Table, the successor to Roman Reigns, the Undisputed Champion. At WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes will FINISH TH….. alrighty…
Out comes, flanked by his Special Counsel, the Wise Man, Paul Heyman – the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, ROMAN REIGNS.
Instead of asking Los Angeles to acknowledge him, he says he does not care about them. Instead, “Cody Rhodes, ACKNOWLEDGE ME!” Both men stare down as SmackDown goes off the air…
