TNA Impact! (2/27) Results: MVP Vs. Roode

Welcome to Impact! And we kick things off with the investor, MVP. He comes down to the ring and says that Dixie Carter’s BS stops now. He says that at Lockdown the main event will be Samoa Joe taking on the world champion, Magnus. He brings out the “Samoan Submission machine”, Samoa Joe. Then he brings out he champion Magnus. MPV asks Magnus where was his Boys? Magnus grabs a microphone and says the reason Dixie is not here because of the people in London. He says that they are a bunch of criminals and says since he has left the city, it has gone straight to hell. He says that the only person managing his career is he. MVP says they are here for the contract signing for Lockdown PPV. MPV says that since the way Magnus has defended his title in the past, that there will be no Magnus rules, but however Joe rules will be. The match can only be won via Submission or knock out. MVP says that they will find out who the real champion is, Joe signs and then Magnus throws the title down. He says that is the way they are going to play it? Well he has a whole deck he has not played yet. He says that Joe is a dangerous animal that is the reason the fans like to chant “Joe’s Gonna Kill You” however he says that what they do to Animals is put them down. He says that he is better than Joe and at Lockdown Joe will never be champion. He signs it and Joe attacks him. The referee breaks it up and Joe runs after Magnus on the ramp way, finally the brawl is broken up.

We are shown that the Wolves won the world tag team championships this past weekend. The Bro-Mans are shown in the back regrouping and trying to find Bobby Roode. They find him, They want to be on Team Roode well tonight it will be a three way tag team match between the Wolves, Bro-mans and Bad Influence.

We come back from break and Daniels – Robbie E start things off, out of nowhere Davey Richards tags Robbie and he starts things off. Daniels with a knockdown, but Davey with an arm drag that leads to a quick roll up. Davey locks in a submission and Eddie Edwards locks in his own on Kaz. Davey with kicks to the chest of Daniels in the corner, but Daniels gets out and tags Kaz. Davey catches him with an arm drag and tags in Edwards. They hit a double team axe hammer then a double team drop kick combination. Davey with a kick to the gut of Kaz then Davey punches Daniels. Daniels trips Davey and that leads to a drop kick by Kaz. Daniels tagged in and they hit a double team clothesline, kick and elbow drop move. Daniels acts like he is going to tag in Bro-mans, but does not. Daniels with clubbing right hands to the back of Davey. Davey with a side kick to Kaz and then Daniels. He tags in Edwards who clears house. Eddie with a chop to the chest of Ka then a back suplex for a near fall. Daniels attacks Eddie from behind then they hit a double team powerbomb for a near fall. Daniels is dragged out of the ring by Davey and back in the ring Eddie hits Kaz with a side kick. He hits a spine buster for a near fall as the bro-man’s break it up. Daniels is sent to the floor and Edwards takes him out with a dive through the ropes. Edwards hits a double stomp to Kaz and tags in Davey. Robbie E tags Davey when he jumps off the top rope and Jesse sends Davey out of the ring. Robbie covers Kaz for the win.

Winners: The Bro-Mans

EC3 Vs. Douglas Williams

EC3 says he going to beat him, but Williams nails him with an uppercut. Williams with a uppercut once again and several in the corner. Williams with a running knee in the corner then a big boot. Williams comes off the top rope with a spinning elbow. He goes for a German suplex, but EC3 low blows him then hits the “1 percenter” for the win.

Winner: EC3

After the match, EC3 continues to beat down Douglas Williams with a knee lock.

-Commercial Break-

James Storm comes down to the ring, but before he says anything Gunner comes out. Storm says let him hear him. James said that he wanted Gunner to know how he knows when he was disrespected with Gunner offer for the tag team title shot. He says that before they were a tag team, Gunner was nothing and he never heard a thank you. Gunner says that a friend does not betray their friends. Storm says that if Gunner lived or died, no one cared. Gunner said that the fans care. Storm fires back says that he or anyone does not owe Gunner a damn thing. Gunner attacks him and a huge brawl occurs on the outside. Storm tries to hit him with a steel chair, but misses and then runs into the crowd.

-Commercial Break-

Magnus is in the ring with Bad Bones and he says that this man will face Samoa Joe tonight.

Samoa Joe Vs. Bad Bones

Joe runs down to the ring, he is met by Bones and they start brawling. Joe with a knee to the face and does it repeatedly. Joe with a running boot in the corner, he puts him in the corner where he hits the “Muscle Buster” followed by the rear naked choke for the win.

Winner: Samoa Joe

-Commercial Break-

MVP is shown in the back talking about Austin Aries about what team he is going to pick for Lockdown. Aries wants to be the referee for his match against Bobby Roode tonight and it is a done deal.

Kurt Angle comes out for his TNA hall of fame induction. JB gives a quick introduction then the video package is shown. It goes through Angle’s life journey. Kurt comes down to the ring and grabs his watch. He says without the fans, and then there would be no TNA. He talks about how he did not receive the TNA hall of fame due to personal issues. He says that he did some soul searching and now he is in London. He says that all he can do is thank all the people that have gotten him to where he is today. He says that tonight is good night to be Kurt Angle, but EC3 music hits and he comes out. EC3 says that he has a touching video of his own. It is all the moments that Ec3 beat down Kurt Angle. He says that there is big news and he is going to break the big news. EC3 says that Angle has torn an ACL and MCL due to the attack that EC3 put on him. EC3 says that he is sorry and did not mean to retire him. He says its time and Angle says why would EC3 do that when he knows that Angle would rip his throat out. Angle says that if you are going to confirm things, Angle says that he should have asked the real source. The real truth is that MCL and ACL have no tear. Angle asks him if he really wants to be in the ring with him right now. EC3 says no and scared. Angle says that he knows he is new, but why would you pick Kurt Angle? He nails EC3 in the face and EC3 runs to the back. Angle says that he will face EC3 in March at the Lockdown PPV.

-Commercial Break-

Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky Vs. Led’i Tapa and Alpha Female

Tapa and Rayne kick things off, Rayne with right hands, she shoots off the ropes, but tripped by Gail Kim. She chases after her, but Tapa cuts her off and chokes her. Some how she gets a tag to Velvet Sky. Alpha Female tagged in as well. Sky with a kick to the leg of Female. Alpha Female backs her up into the corner, but Sky kicks her way out of the corner. Alpha Female misses a splash in the corner then she goes after Chris Sabin. Alpha Female breaks it up and tags in Tapa. Rayne gets in there and hits a drop kick on Tapa. Rayne tries to the throw her into the corner, but blocked. Tapa comes off the top rope and misses the splash. When she goes for the cover, Chris Sabin distracts the referee. Gail Kim hits Rayne from behind. Tapa hits her finisher for the win as Sky watches in horror.

Winner: Led’i Tapa and Alpha Female

After the match Sky gets in Chris Sabin’s face. Alpha Female locks in her submission hold, but ODB comes down to make the save. She clears house and Sky goes for her finisher, but Sabin pulls Alpha Female out of the ring. The beautiful people and DOB stand tall in the ring.

Sam Shaw is in the back and he says that he will make people understand how much he cares about Christy Hemme.

-Commercial Break-

Sam Shaw is in the ring as Christy Hemme sits at ringside. He says that he is misunderstood and he would like for her to get into the ring. She says no, but does so because he promised. He says that he knows men want one thing from here, but he wants more. Mr. Anderson comes out with a black eye and walks down to the ring. Sam points out that Ken Anderson wants one thing and that she should be lucky he was there for her. Ken says that he is a creepy bastard. He adds that there relationship between them is not real, but what is real is Ken whopping Sam Shaw’s ass. He says that he is not creepy and he is a gentleman towards her. He says even if he was then she would be open for it. She says she is always available and she slaps him. Here comes Ken Anderson, but he pushes her into Ken. A big brawl starts it, but Shaw locks in his submission and Anderson passes out.

-Commercial Break-

We come back and James Storm and Gunner are brawling in the backstage era. It turns into a street fight with TNA officials breaking them up. Storm says sooner or later gods gonna cut you down (Johnny Cash) it looks like they will have a match at Lockdown.

Austin Aries is the special guest referee and is wearing his wrestling trunks (Weird) with the referee shirt.

MVP Vs. Bobby Roode

They lock up as the fans are very vocal. MVP with a side head lock that goes into a head take over. They get to their feet, another lock up then a bit a trash talk. MVP with a clothesline for a count of 1. Roode catches him with a knee to the gut, but is caught with a big boot. MVP goes to the top rope, but Roode pulls him down. Roode hits neck breaker for a near fall, Aries all over it. Roode with knee shots to the back of MVP, he hits a knee drop to the chin of MVP for a near fall. Roode locks in a headlock, but MVP fights out. MVP throws him into the corner, but Roode puts his boot up. A neck breaker off the top rope for a near fall. Roode hits a suplex then goes for a knee drop, but misses it. He misses the splash in the corner and MVP connects with a series of punches. MVP with a clothesline in the corner then a fall away slam. He hits a knee drop then hits the balling elbow drop. MVP with a bridge suplex for a near fall. MVP goes for his finisher, but blocked and Roode throws him into the corner. He runs into a big boot and MVP runs towards him. He is caught and Roode hits the spine buster for a near fall. Roode with a kick to the gut, he lifts him, but MVP fights out. MVP hits his finisher, but only gets a count of 2. They trade right hands, MVP gets the better of the exchange. Roode hits a side kick to the head of MVP, he shoots off the ropes, but MVP drop kicks him in the knee. MVP goes for a kick, but Austin Aries catches him with a forearm shot. Roode hits the “Roode bomb” for the win.

Winner: Bobby Roode
