Grayson Waller defeats Sunil Singh via pinfall
An impressive debut from the man formally known as Matty Wahlberg. Waller would pick up the pinfall victory after an elevated curb stomp.
Doesn’t bode well for Waller that his debut is on 205 Live, but it was a strong showing for the time given.
Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari defeat Ari Sterling & Asher Hale via pinfall
Tensions between Sterling and Hale were a regular theme throughout this match, with both sides reluctant to tag each other and Hale rejecting a fist-bump from Sterling. Of all the competitors in the match, it was arguably Tony Nese who stood out. Audibly impressing those in attendance at the CWC, it makes it an even greater shame that Nese and Daivari were quickly defeated on a recent NXT appearance.
The highlight of the match was when Hale used Sterling’s back as a platform to perform a hurricanrana onto Daivari. A move worth seeking out for anyone who missed the show, as it showed exactly what 205 Live is about.
Nese and Daivari would pick up the win after performing their tag-team finisher onto Hale for the pinfall victory. The disagreements between Hale and Sterling would continue after the bell, perhaps setting up a future match between the pair.
