- Madcap Moss and The Street Profits defeated Austin Theory and Alpha Academy by pinfall.
- Six-Woman Tag Team Match: Bayley, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky defeated Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss and Asuka by pinfall.
- Intercontinental Championship Match: Gunther (c) defeated Sheamus by pinfall.

Author’s POV, Running Commentary & Thoughts:
Kickoff
- They’ve decided to randomly announce a kickoff match. Madcap Moss and The Street Profits are going against Austin Theory and Alpha Academy. Not only is there zero build to this whatsoever, it is literally being tossed out there at the start of the kickoff. I absolutely hate that.
- Matt Camp is definitely one of the best broadcast team members they’ve had over the years. He’s not only knowledgeable as all hell, but passionate and well spoken. I really hope he’s a lifer.
- Michael Cole’s headset is sounding weird to me. Is that happening to anyone else?
- Great flip from Montez Ford to the outside.
- Moss and The Street Profits win by pinfall after a frog splash from Ford on Chad Gable.
Six-Woman Tag Team Match
- I’m digging the castle hanging above the ring. That’s a cool setup.
- Look at Cole being able to mention Iyo having a faction with Asuka in Japan, instead of that being deemed irrelevant to mention another promotion. I really like this new, more relaxed era Triple H has going on.
- This isn’t the strongest match. Some moments here and there where it seems there are miscommunications and people don’t know who is legal for pinfalls.
- Bayley gets the win for her team by pinning Bianca Belair. That will surely set her up for a Raw Women’s Championship shot at Extreme Rules.
Intercontinental Championship Match
- Giovanni Vinci’s ditching the model gimmick and Imperium is back!!! Yes!!! They should bring back the old Dvorak music, but this is a step up, for sure!
- Sheamus is bleeding and his chest is beat red. This is what we were hoping for. He’s the perfect person for Gunther to chop and show off how brutal those smacks can be.
- “Don’t hit your chest even more!” My wife’s reaction to Sheamus psyching himself up after seeing how red his chest is.
- I’ve always liked the Celtic Cross powerbomb. The Razor’s Edge was one of my favorite finishers back in the day.
- Nice continuity with Sheamus not being able to do a Brogue Kick since Gunther had targeted his back. That opens up a means for Gunther to capitalize with a powerbomb and a clothesline for the win.
SmackDown Women’s Championship Match
- Liv Morgan as the underdog works in some ways, but I still don’t think she’s been built up enough that if she comes out of this clean, it will sit too well with me. Shayna Baszler hasn’t had the best main roster run, but she should still wipe the floor with Morgan, if we’re being realistic. I hope this match changes my opinion.
- So far, Baszler’s working on Morgan’s arm. Let’s see if Morgan keeps selling it or if it magically heals.
- So far, Morgan’s doing a great job not just forgetting about how that arm’s supposed to be hurting her. Lots of applause for her doing covers where her arm isn’t hooking Baszler’s leg and such.
- What a weak finish. Morgan wins by pinfall with an extremely unimpactful Oblivion.
Edge and Rey Mysterio vs. The Judgment Day
- So far, Edge’s mask for his entrance is the only interesting thing for me to note. I’m disappointed there wasn’t even any pyro.
- The match itself is generic. This is another one of those things where, like I said in other posts, they needed a hook. It should have included Beth Phoenix and Rhea Ripley.
- Edge doing a 619 was interesting.
- Not even a Dominik heel turn? Very disappointing. I know “seeing Edge and Rey Mysterio” is supposed to be the attraction, but since we do get to see them on TV on a weekly basis, it doesn’t do it for me. That’s not special enough for a pay-per-view. This was literally a Raw match and I’m not fond of filler on special events like this.
- There we go! Dominik low-blowed Edge! Then, nailed Rey with a clothesline! Finally, the heel turn we’ve been looking for. I guess he’s just not joining Judgment Day.
62,296 fans in attendance announced. I’m curious what the real number is.
Seth Rollins vs. Matt Riddle
- Rollins is out here dressed up like an extra in a Mardi Gras parade.
- Riddle and Rollins might have had a miscommunication of what to do while on the top rope. That was a little sloppy to come around to a stomp.
- The Floating Bro to the outside was good. I still hate that name with a passion, though.
- Very close 2.5-count on Rollins after a Bro to Sleep, powerbomb and a strike.
- Rollins hits the Bro Derek on Riddle, for a twist of fate. Two-count.
- Big pop for the Pedigree. Riddle kicks out.
- “Brown sauce on pasta” sign. I need a little clarification of what type of brown sauce we’re talking about, pal.
- Rollins is playing into some Randy Orton taunts and maneuvers. This is firing up Riddle to get reckless and even grab a chair. That confusion has allowed Rollins to capitalize with a stomp.
- A stomp from the second rope gets the win for Rollins.
They’re reminding everyone that Karrion Kross and Scarlett, as well as Tyson Fury, are in the house. Those are two potential interferences to look out for.
Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Match
- Broken Dreams! That’s a very cool touch to bring back Drew McIntyre’s old theme. This is a great song.
- Pyro would have really helped these entrances feel more special. Just having the popping sound with no visual doesn’t really seem all that grandiose.
- As much as I don’t necessarily want to see Roman Reigns lose, I’m so down to see Drew McIntyre win the title here in front of this crowd. In particular, if the titles are split and we get two champions again, that would be better for the overall roster.
- Reigns is so much better as a heel, even in the ring. He just carries himself in a more confident way.
- GREAT Glasgow Kiss. That might have been the best one of those we’ve ever seen.
- Rock Bottom from Roman Reigns, you say? Hm.
- Reigns diverts a Claymore into a Superman Punch for a two-count.
- McIntyre kicks out of a spear. This is one of those matches that warrants a finisher kick-out.
- Eventually, McIntyre kicks out of a second spear, even.
- Austin Theory is running out to cash in Money in the Bank! Before he could do that, though, Tyson Fury just decked Theory and knocked him out.
- McIntyre hits a Claymore, but it’s a two-count.
- Another Claymore! But Solo Sikoa pulls the referee out of the ring after two!
- Reigns is able to hit a spear after this distraction and score the pinfall to retain.
- Fury shook hands with Reigns after the match. He then helped McIntyre up and said he should be proud of the fight he just put up. Everyone in the building was rooting for him. Fury starts singing American Pie, for some reason. McIntyre vows to get his hands on the championship. But no matter what the outcome, let’s party. He requests Sweet Caroline, then sings some Don’t Look Back in Anger. What was that all about?!
