Welcome to EWrestlingNews’ WWE Friday Night SmackDown results for September 9, 2022!

We open up the show with The Brawling Brutes who head to the ring for their first match.

The Brawling Brutes vs. Imperium

Vinci hits the Imperium Bomb for the win.

Winners: Imperium

We get Sami Zayn and The Usos in the ring now. Zayn tries to hype up the crowd, before saying there are serious things they need to talk about. Jey then says that Roman Reigns beat Drew McIntyre on his own home turf, and he has no idea how deep The Bloodline runs. Jimmy then proceeds to introduce Sola Sikoa.

Sikoa then speaks, saying, if someone comes for his family, he comes for them. Drew McIntyre then comes out with a chair. He hits Sikoa and tries to hit him again, but Zayn pushes him away and takes the shot for him. McIntyre challenges Sikoa for a match later tonight, and he accepts.

Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah vs. Toxic Attraction

Rodriguez picks up the win for her team with the Tejana Bomb for the win.

Winners: Raquel Rodrigues and Aliyah

Number One Contender’s Match For The SmackDown Women’s Title – Fatal Five-Way Elimination Match – Xia Li, Sonya Deville, Natalya, Lacey Evans and Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey picks up the win by lastly eliminating Sonya Deville.

Winner: Ronda Rousey

Backstage, The Usos hype up Sikoa ahead of his match with McIntyre later. Sami Zayn walks in and Sikoa gives him appreciation for helping him in the ring. Jey scoffs but Jimmy just ignores it. Zayn tells Sikoa that they’re all looking out for him tonight, but Sikoa says he wants to handle McIntyre on his own.

The Street Profits and Hit Row vs. Los Lotharios and Maximum Male Models

Hit Row picks up the win after nailing Heavy Hitter for the win.

Winners: Hit Row and The Street Profits

Alpha Academy heads to the ring. Gable messes with the crowd before saying The Alpha Academy is there to ruin Braun Strowman’s return the way he ruined their match on Monday Night. Strowman’s music hits and he makes his way down. Otis and Strowman stare down before Strowman beats him down. Gable tries to attack Strowman, but he’s met with a big boot instead. Strowman then hits both men with power bombs.

We get a backstage interview with Drew McIntyre, promising to get revenge on Sikoa for costing him the World Title at Clash At The Castle.

Drew McIntyre vs. Solo Sikoa

Unfortunately we don’t get an official winner in this one, as Karrion Kross comes in out of nowhere to attack McIntyre, putting him in the Kross Jacket.

Winner: DQ

The show goes off air with Kross still applying the hold to McIntyre.
