WWE Monday Night RAW Results For October 17, 2022


Welcome to EWrestlingNews’ WWE Monday Night RAW results for October 17, 2022!

We open up RAW with Bobby Lashley calling out Brock Lesnar. Lashley says if Lesnar has a problem with him they can fight about it. Lesnar’s music hits and he makes his way out to the ring. Lashley meets him outside and they begin to brawl. Lashley puts Lesnar through the announce desk before they’re separated.

The O.C. vs. Alpha Academy


Gallows and Anderson hit Magic Killer for the victory.

Winners: The O.C.

The Judgement Day make their way out to the ring. Balor takes credit for making The O.C. and vows to destroy it. They challenge them to a Six-Man Tag Team Match at Crown Jewel. The O.C. accepts. Styles instead suggests they have the match tonight but Dominik warns they’ll end up like his father. Styles calls Dominik a piece of trash and challenges him to a match. Rhea Ripley accepts on Dominik’s behalf.

The new United States Champion Seth Rollins has made his way out. Rollins hypes up his title win and says he will defend the gold in the main event of tonight’s show. Mustafa Ali makes his way out with a mic. Ali said Lashley promised him he was next in line for the title before he lost it. Rollins tells Ali to get in the back of the line and that if he’s not going to party with him, leave.

The pair break out in a brawl and Rollins gets the upper hand.

Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and IYO SKY) vs. Bianca Belair and Candice LeRae

Kai and SKY are able to hit their double finisher for the win.

Winners: Damage CTRL

Matt Riddle is interviewed backstage, and runs into Ali. He gives him credit for standing up to Rollins and says if he wins, he’ll get his shot at the title. They then notice The Miz on the ground, hurt. He says he was looking over his shoulder for Lumis and slipped and fell. Miz says his knee is shattered and he can’t compete tonight.

Backstage we see The Judgement Day. Rhea Ripley is approached by Cora Jade. She asks Ripley to face Roxanne Perez tonight in a Pick Your Poison match, and Ripley accepts.

JBL heads to the ring and gets on the mic. He hypes up his return to Monday Night RAW and compared Oklahoma to Texas, bashing the former. JBL says Rey Mysterio left RAW after Dominik realized his his father is one of the worst human beings on the planet. JBL adds that there’s an open spot on the RAW roster and he has just the person to fill it. He then welcomes Baron Crobin.

Corbin comes out and JBL announces that he’ll be facing Dolph Ziggler. JBL calls Corbin a wrestling god.

Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler

Corbin hits End Of Days for the victory.

Winner Baron Corbin

Backstage, The Miz is injured and says he can’t compete tonight. But Johnny Gargano yells the Dexter Lumis is coming and he jumps off of the table.

We get Omos and MVP who tease an appearance on SmackDown to confront Braun Strowman yet again.

AJ Styles vs. Dominik Mysterio

Mysterio gets the win with a rollup after some interference from Rhea Ripley.

Winner: Dominik Mysterio

Dexter Lumis comes out for his match with The Miz. Miz attacks him with a steel chair and hits him with the Skull Crushing Finale on the chair.

Elias is back in the ring and asks “Who wants to walk with Elias?” Elias said usually he’d play his guitar but today he wanted to pay from his keyboard. Before he can begin, he’s interrupted by Matt Riddle, who has bongos in hand. Riddle says he’s a big fan and asks Elias if he wants to hit his bong. Elias says he appreciates Riddle being a fan. Riddle asks if he can play with him, and Elias agrees. Seth Rollins interrupts for their match.

United States Title Match: Seth Freakin Rollins (c) vs. Matt Riddle

Rollins retains after nailing Riddle with a Curb Stomp.

Winner AND STILL WWE United States Champion: Seth Rollins

After the match, Rollins hits Elias with a Curb Stomp. He’s about to hit Riddle with another but Ali comes out for the save. Rollins retreats to end the show.
