WWE Monday Night RAW Results For September 5, 2022


Welcome to EWrestlingNews’ WWE Monday Night RAW results for September 5, 2022!

Edge opens up the show, calling out Dominik Mysterio for his actions at Clash At The Castle. Rey Mysterio comes out and begs Edge for forgiveness, but Edge isn’t having it. Instead, The Judgement Day’s Rhea Ripley makes her entrance. Ripley says Dominik isn’t a little boy anymore, and they’ve made him into a man.


He enters with new music and dressed in all black, with his hair slick back. Rey pleads with Dominik to snap out of it, but Rhea says Dominik doesn’t listen to him anymore. Rhea and Dominik make their way down to the ring, and Rey Mysterio goes backstage. Edge calls for Dominik to get in the ring, but Finn Balor and Damian Priest attack Edge from behind.

Dominik gets involved and helps the group keep Edge down. Rey tries to come for the save but he’s stopped by Ripley. They attack Edge with a chair before leaving him in the ring and leaving.

We get a backstage segment with The Miz and Ciampa finding an overturned car in the parking lot on fire.

Four-Way Tag Team Match For No. 1-Contender’s Spot: The New Day vs. Alpha Academy vs. Los Lotharios vs. Street Profits

The match ends in a No Contest when Braun Strowman made his return to WWE and lays out everybody.

Winners: No Contest

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Raquel Rodriguez & Aliyah (c) vs. Nikki A.S.H. & Doudrop

Rodriguez hits Doudrop with the Tejana Bomb for the victory.

Winners AND STILL WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships – Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah

Rey Mysterio is interviewed backstage. He says Dominik’s mind is being poisoned by The Judgement Day. He says he’ll never put his hands on his son, but he wants to get his hands on Priest and Balor in a match tonight.

Austin Theory is in the ring. He gets on the mic and brags about still having the Money In The Bank briefcase. He says he’s glad Roman Reigns is still the champion, and pokes fun at Drew McIntyre for embarrassing himself in front of his friends and family. Theory is interrupted by Kevinj Owens.

Owens pokes fun at Theory for getting punched by Tyson Fury at Clash At The Castle. Owens starts a “You Got KOed” chant. Owens says that Fury did Theory a favor, because if he would’ve cashed in, McIntyre or Reigns would’ve put him in the ground.

Owens says he’s been in the ring with both Reigns and McIntyre, and either of them would destroy Theory. He also says the only reason Theory has the MITB briefcase is because he wasn’t in the match. Owens brings out a referee and a match is official.

Austin Theory vs. Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens picks up the win with a Stunner.

Winner: Kevin Owens

Backstage, Miz again refuses to talk about being kidnapped by Dexter Lumis, and vows to beat Bobby Lashley to become the United States Champion.

Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY) make their way out to the ring. Bayley gloats over their Six-Woman Tag Team match at Clash At The Castle. Kai and Sky also vow to go after the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles next. Bianca Belair comes out and challenges Bayley to a match.

Bayley says it’s Labor Day so she’s not working today, she’s celebrating their win. The trio tease an attack on Belair but Bayley calls them off. The trio leave as we go to commercial.

We get a backstage interview with Johnny Gargano. He’s interrupted by Austin Theory. Gargano says he’ll be back in action inside the ring next week on RAW.

Rey Mysterio vs. Damian Priest

Priest gets South Of Heaven and the win.

Winner: Damian Priest

After the match, The Judgement Day, including Dominik, stand over Rey.

Bobby Lashley is interviewed backstage, saying The Miz isn’t very smart to get locked in a Steel Cage with him.

Steel Cage Match for the WWE United States Title: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. The Miz

Before the match gets underway, The Miz gets the US Title from the referee and smacks Lashley with it. He beats Lashley down and tosses him out of the cage, where Ciampa helps The Miz assault Lashley. They trap Lashley’s arm in the cage while Miz rams the steel steps into it. They continue to beat down Lashley outside of the ring before finally tossing him back into the cage as the match starts.

The Miz had the match won at one point, almost escaping the cage while Lashley was out, but Dexter Lumis appeared under the ring, scaring Miz back into the ring. Lashley nailed the Spear for the victory.

Winner AND STILL WWE United States Champion: Bobby Lashley

After the match, Lumis got into the ring and chokes The Miz out, stroking his head after he passes out as the show goes off-air.
