Welcome to WWE NXT, the show starts off with our opening contest.
Singles Match: Sami Zayn vs. Adam Rose.
Zayn got the early offense in until Rose cut him off and landed a series of right hands. Rose knocked him down then hit a headbutt off the top rope for 2. Zayn tripped him and locked in a submission for the win.
Winner: Zayn.
Johnny Gargano cuts a backstage promo about facing Samoa Joe later in the show. Gargano said that he will not be intimidated by Joe. He said that Joe better bring everything he’s got tonight because he will not back down.
-Commercial Break-
Jason Jordan and Chad Gable reveal that they’re now being called American Alphas.
Singles Match: Apollo Crews vs. Tye Dillinger.
They lock up. Crews hit a heel kick then a suplex. Tye tripped him then sent him to the floor and connected with a dive. Tye hit a knee strike for 2 once back in the ring. Crews reversed a move and hit a sit-down powerbomb for the win.
Winner: Crews.
Post-match, Crews, challenged Finn Balor to a non-title match.
Alexa Bliss told Blake and Murphy backstage that they disappointed her at NXT: London by losing at the event. She said that she would lead by example and win her match tonight.
-Commercial Break-
Singles Match: Baron Corbin vs. Rich Swann.
Swann used his speed to avoid Corbin until he hit a big boot. Swann went to the top rope but missed a dive and Corbin hit the Deep Six for the win.
Winner: Corbin.
-Commercial Break-
Tag Team Match: Carmella and Bayley vs. Emma and Alexa Bliss.
Emma and Bliss attacked Bayley before the match could start. The bell sounds and Bayley and Emma start things off. Emma attacks Bayley and beats her down in the corner.
-Commercial Break-
We’re back with Bayley in control of Emma. She hit a suplex out of the corner. Dana Brooke, who was at ringside, distracted Bayley and Bliss pulled her down by her hair. Emma hit a crossbody in the corner for 2. Moments later, Bayley fought back and got the hot tag to Carmella, who hit a Bronco Buster to Bliss. Carmella then sent her face first into the mat then locked in a head scissors submission for the win.
Winner: Carmella and Bayley.
Finn Balor said in a backstage promo that he would be facing Apollo Crews very soon. The match will air on an upcoming episode of NXT.
-Commercial Break-
Singles Match: Samoa Joe vs. Johnny Gargano.
Joe started beating down Gargano early in the match as he sent him back first into the apron then a series of chops in the corner. Joe hit a back splash then a heel kick. Joe hit a series of combos, but Gargano fought back with a series of kicks. Gargano hit a springboard DDT for 2. Joe caught him with a sick kick to the head of Gargano then locked in the rear-naked choke for the win.
Winner: Joe.
Joe stood tall in the ring to close the show.
