WWE NXT – Results (3/15/2017)

Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) vs The Ealy Brothers

In a quick match, the Authors of Pain squash the Ealy Brothers with The Super Collider despite a valiant start from the Ealy Brothers. Rezar hits the last chapter for the pinfall and victory.

Winners – Authors of Pain

After the match, Paul Ellering calls out The Revival and says they are the next name in their book of destruction. D.I.Y. comes out during Ellering’s promo and the two teams face off in the ring with D.I.Y. The Revival comes out as well and they respond to Ellering’s promo by saying they will take on both teams for the NXT Tag Team titles. William Regal comes out next and announces a elimination match for NXT Takeover: Orlando.

Nikki Cross vs Estrella

Nikki Cross comes out accompanied by Sanity. Estrella comes back into the ring after their entrance. Nikki Cross quickly goes after Estrella and makes quick work of her. Nikki Cross hits her finishing move early for the pinfall and victory.

Winner – Nikki Cross

After the match, Tye Dillinger and No Way Jose come out to try and confront Sanity but the group makes quick work of the two men and leaves them laying flat in the middle of the ring.

Backstage, Oney Lorcan calls out Andrade “Cien” Almas for bullying Ho Ho Lun and challenges him to a match next week.

NXT Title – Bobby Roode (c) vs Kassius Ohno

Kassius Ohno as the challenger comes out first, followed by Bobby Roode to the usual pomp and circumstance. Shinsuke Nakamura is shown watching backstage. The announcer makes the ring introductions and then the referee calls for the bell. Ohno quickly gets some offense on Bobby Roode. Roode gets frustrated and retreats to the outside of the ring. Back inside, Roode tries to make a stand but Ohno keeps him on the defense with some elbows, forearms, and a high kick. Roode does manage to recover and gets some offense in of his own. After the commercial break, Roode gets some more offense on Ohno. Roode gets front control on a full mount and hammers away at Ohno with some fists. Roode gets back up and taunts Ohno from above. Ohno comes back with a flying fist while staggering to his feet. Ohno tries to get some momentum back Roode sends him back down to the canvas with a clothesline. Roode continues to control Ohno’s pace by keeping him on the canvas with a knee to the back, stretching Ohno’s arms backwards. After a struggle, Ohno hits his primary elbow strike but Roode counters with the Glorious DDT for the victory.

Winner and STILL NXT Champion – Bobby Roode
