WWE NXT Results – February 6, 2019: Six-Woman Tag Team Match

Welcome to WWE NXT.

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Nigel McGuinness, Mauro Ranallo, and Percy Watson.

North American Champion Johnny Gargano makes his way to the ring.

Garagano says he likes the sound of “Johnny Champion” and it feels so great to be standing here as NXT North American Champion. For years, we have been on this long and winding journey in NXT. Johnny says they deserve it. At Takeover, we were validated when he won this. He says he is your NXT North American Champion and he says Johnny Wrestling is back.

NXT Men’s Champion Tommaso Ciampa makes his way to the stage.

Tommaso says he is not out here to take from Johnny’s moment. He is here to celebrate his moment. At Takeover, you showed the entire world what he already knew. You know how to listen and you followed the champ’s lead. Look at you in the ring with the North American Championship while Ciampa has the NXT Championship. They own the world. This is everything we used to talk about. This is the dream we talked about when we were trying to get into NXT.

The sight of us standing side by side holding gold . . . we showed that this is our moment.

Johnny says no. There is no ‘our’ moment. The only reason he came out at the end of Takeover was to show you face to face that Johnny Gargano will never need Tommaso Ciampa.

Velveteen Dream’s music plays and he makes his way to the stage while Ciampa moves down the ramp.

Dream says this is cute. DIY, champions once again. Let us not forget that tonight is not about your moment or Gollum and his precious Goldie. It is not about Johnny Badass. It is about the man who stole the moment at Takeover just by showing up. Let us not forget that while you were putting the final touches on your fairy tale ending, he was winning the Worlds Collide tournament. Dream says he has earned an NXT Championship opportunity of his choosing and guess who he chooses.

Dream walks up to Ciampa and tells him to back up because he sees the lust in your eyes for the Dream. Do you want to share the spotlight with the Dream again? The Dream is over . . . you. Dream says he does not want Ciampa.

Dream walks into the ring and he says he wants Gargano.

Johnny asks Dream if he wants this. He says since Dream is so preoccupied with himself. While you were busy sitting in the crowd, Johnny was in the ring putting on another match of the year. He was winning the NXT North American Championship. The next night, he represented NXT in front of over 40,000 people in the Royal Rumble match. He is on top of the world and he is feeling a little dangerous. If you want to use your title opportunity on him, do it. Johnny says he wins.

Dream says he wants to know when they are face to face and it is Johnny Gargano versus Velveteen Dream, will it be Johnny Wrestling or Johnny Jackass?

Dream tells Gargano his time is short while Gargano leaves the ring. Gargano looks at Ciampa and Goldie and Ciampa goes to the back.

We go to commercial.

We see footage of Drew Gulak arriving at Full Sail because he is here to fix NXT.

Match Number One: Jaxson Ryker (with Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake) versus Mansoor

They lock up and Ryker backs Mansoor into the corner and Mansoor with a wrist lock but Ryker with a clothesline and knees. Ryker puts Mansoor in the turnbuckles and connects with forearms to the chest. Ryker with an Irish whip but he runs into an elbow. Mansoor comes off the turnbuckles but Ryker with a spear. Ryker with a sit out spinebuster for the three count.

Winner: Jaxson Ryker

After the match, Ryker brings Mansoor back into the ring and hits another sit out spinebuster.

Ricochet is in the back doing a photo shoot and The Undisputed Era interrupt Cathy. Adam says Ricochet is a one trick pony and Cole is championship material. Cole says as far as the North American championship goes, you are at the back of the line. That title has his name all over it.

Ricochet reminds Cole that he beat Cole for the title. Ricochet suggests that they meet to see who is the man to challenge for the title.

Cole accepts the challenge.

Ricochet says it does not matter who he goes through, when he sees an opportunity, he is going back after his title.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we are told that Velveteen Dream gets his title match against Johnny Gargano in two weeks.

Match Number Two: Drew Gulak versus Eric Bugenhagen

Gulak does not know what to make of his opponent after his pre-match actions. Bugenhagen with a waist lock take down but Gulak with a drop kick and kicks to the head. Gulak slam Bugenhagen into the ropes and then he chops Bugenhagen. Drew with a suplex and he gets a near fall. Gulak with a reverse chin lock. Bugenhagen with forearms and he sends Gulak into the turnbuckles and follows with shoulders and punches. Gulak goes for an abdominal stretch but Bugenhagen with an abdominal stretch and he windmills the ribs. Drew with a Northern Lights suplex followed by a Saito suplex. Drew with the GuLock and Bugenhagen taps out.

Winner: Drew Gulak

After the match, Gulak has something to say. Drew says he wrestles around the world representing 205 Live as the top submission specialist. He comes to NXT and he gets that? Drew says he has not been disrespected like that in his life. He is given Ben Stiller from Dodgeball? If there is someone in the back who wants to step to him, come out and get stretched.

Matt Riddle makes his way to the stage.

Matt throws out a bro and asks if that is what you think of NXT. Everyone sets the bar day in and day out. How about you get out of that ring, get out of NXT, or he will come down there and tap you out of it.

Drew tells Matt to take his flip flops off and make his day.

Matt says that Drew has chosen wisely . . . BRO.

Matt tosses off his flip flops and goes to the ring.

We go to commercial.
