Johnny Gargano makes his way to the ring and he looks like he is in a very good mood.

Johnny wishes everyone a Happy New Year. He says 2018 was a bit of a roller coaster. He says he had time during the holidays to reflect on things. Success around here is measured by two things. Wins and championships. It doesn’t matter how hard you try or how good a person you are. Johnny says he will be better in 2019. He says he will win and he will become a champion.

Johnny mentions Tommaso Ciampa and he says he heard what Ciampa said. Don’t mistake a moment in the cage that meant nothing. It was a one time thing that will never happen again. He calls Ciampa a piece of trash with the championship he wants. There is another championship out there. As soon as you spoke this idea into the world of Johnny Gargano versus Ricochet for the North American Championship, Ricochet fired at him. He said if Johnny wants the smoke, he is right here.

Johnny says he does not want the smoke, but if he wants the North American championship, he is going to take it. You might fly around the ring like a superhero . . .

Ricochet’s music interrupts and he appears on the stage and makes his way to the ring.

Ricochet tells Johnny this is all you had to do. If you wanted an opportunity at the North American title, all you had to do was ask. You are going to take it from me. Are you going to do it face to face or after attacking me from behind in a parking lot? Ricochet says he heard about how he is not just Johnny Wrestling but Johnny Takeover. When it comes to Takeover, there will be one and only man who remains NXT’s North American Champion. You are looking at him.

Tommaso Ciampa makes his way to the stage.

Ciampa says let’s not get off track. Wins and championships. That is what this is all about.

Gargano tells Ciampa to shut up because it is about him and Ricochet.

Aleister Black’s music plays and he appears on the HunterTron. Black says he hopes that Ciampa is more concerned about him that being more concerned about grooming your little dog of war. Black says he poses more of a threat than Gargano and in Phoenix, he will make CIampa fade to black.

The lights go out and they come back on and Black is behind Ciampa. They fight over to the announce table and Black goes for a suplex off the table but Ciampa is able to get away.

Meanwhile, back in the ring, Gargano hits Ricochet with a super kick.

We go to commercial.

We are back and William Regal announces that The Undisputed Era will face the War Raiders at Takeover Phoenix for the NXT Tag Team Championships.

Match Number One: Nikki Cross versus Bianca Belair

Belair pushes Cross and Nikki laughs and wants more. Belair pushes Nikki again and Nikki pushes back and hits a cross body. Cross goes for the leg but Belair with a forearm. Nikki with a back elbow and Nikki goes for a rollup but Belair stays on her feet. Belair with a drop kick. Cross with a head scissors and then Nikki is sent to the apron and knocked off by Belair. Nikki trips Belair and puts Belair in the ring skirt and hits a series of forearms. Nikki sends Belair back into the ring and Nikki goes up top.

Belair with a forearm to stop Nikki. Belair presses Nikki over her head and drops Nikki behind her. Belair with a standing moonsault for a near fall. Belair with boots to Nikki and Belair gets a near fall. Belair with an abdominal stretch. Belair with forearms to the ribs and then she hits a back breaker for a near fall. Belair wants Nikki to get up and then she connects with forearms to the back. Belair goes for a suplex but Nikki counters into a DDT and gets a near fall.

Nikki with forearms and a cross body followed by punches. Nikki with a splash into the corner followed by a bulldog. Nikki with a reverse DDT for a near fall. Belair misses a clothesline but Nikki cannot convert on the O’Connor Roll. Belair with a spear for a near fall. Belair goes for a splash but Nikki gets her knees up and Nikki with a swinging fisherman’s neck breaker but Belair rolls to the floor to keep Nikki from getting the cover. Nikki goes to the floor and applies a sleeper on the ramp. Belair falls back onto the ramp to get out of the hold. The referee starts her count and both get back in at nine.

Belair with forearms and Nikki with punches of her own but Belair with the advantage. Nikki sends Belair shoulder first into the ring post and Nikki gets a near fall with a rollup. Belair with a forearm and Nikki is down. Belair with a shoulder in the corner. Belair slaps Nikki in the corner and puts Cross on the turnbuckles. Nikki pushes Belair off the turnbuckles and Nikki misses a frog splash. Belair with the KOB for the three count.

Winner: Bianca Belair

We are back with the Street Profits. Montez Ford says they are going to take over in 2019. Ford talks about how they had a big year last year. He says there will be no more locked doors. After a few locked doors, they open one and Angelo says they are going to be opening doors in 2019. They never lost to War Raiders, Humberto and Raul, or Undisputed Era. Ford mentions the third season of Street Talk.

They will be in action next week.

Match Number Two: Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel versus Kunsman and Stanley Watts

Barthel starts off with Kunsman and Barthel with a wrist lock. Barthel with a hammer lock and he works on the other arm and applies a front face lock. Kunsman with a wrist lock and take down. Watts tags in and he kicks Barthel but Barthel works on the neck and applies a wrist lock. Watts with a wrist lock and Barthel with a forearm. Aichner tags in and he kicks Watts in the head. Watts with chops but Aichner with a pop up move but Watts blocks it and tries for a rana. Kunsman tags in and he punches Barthel and Aichner. Aichner with a spinebuster and Barthel with a kick for a near fall.

Barthel kicks Kunsman and Aichner tags in and he runs Kunsman into the turnbuckles. Aichner kicks Kunsman in the corner. Barthel tags in and Kunsman is sent into the ring post. Barthel with a baseball slide to Kunsman. Kunsman with an enzuigiri and Watts tags in. Watts with kicks to Aichner followed by an enzuigiri. Barthel tags in and Watts kicks both men. Barthel with an enzuigiri and then he tosses Watts to Aichner for a brainbuster and then Aichner tosses Watts to Barthel for a German suplex and the three count.

Winners: Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel

We go to Cathy Kelley outside the building and she says that all have been removed from Full Sail.

Ricochet is leaving and he is asked about what happened. He says that he told Gargano that all he had to do was ask. Ricochet does not care what Mr. Regal does, he wants that match. That super kick took away all of the respect he had for Gargano. He will take care of Gargano.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at what happened last week during the match between Matt Riddle and Kassius Ohno as well as the post match incident. We are told that Matt Riddle is not medically cleared.

We get comments from Keith Lee. He is asked about the attack on his friend Matt Riddle. Keith says Matt is someone he has traveled this world with. The attack by Kassius Ohno was unsettling. He tells Kassius to show up next week and he will teach Ohno a lesson in respect. You will have no choice but to bask in his glory.

Match Number Three; Adam Cole (with Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Bobby FIsh) versus EC3

They lock up and Cole with a wrist lock and EC3 with a reversal. Cole backs EC3 into the turnbuckles and Cole with a clean break . . . BAYBAY. Cole with a waist lock into a side head lock. EC3 with a hammer lock. EC3 backs Cole into the corner and pushes him on the break. EC3 with a shoulder tackle. EC3 with a chop when he stops before a leap frog. EC 3 with a slam and Cole rolls to the floor. Cole is knocked off the apron by EC3. EC3 goes to the floor after Cole and sends him back into the ring. Cole goes to the floor on the other side of the ring and Cole with an enzuigiri.

Cole sends EC3 shoulder first into the ring steps. Cole returns to the ring while the referee starts his count. Cole goes to the floor and sends EC3 back into the ring. Cole wraps the arm in the ropes and kicks it. Cole with a drop kick to the injured arm. Cole with a snap mare and elbow to the collarbone. Cole with a key lock. Cole with a knee to the midsection followed by a neck breaker. Cole kicks EC3 in the head and then he pie faces EC3. Cole is sent to the floor and Cole with a forearm. Cole tries to suplex EC3 to the floor but EC3 blocks it and hits a suplex back into the ring.

EC3 with punches followed by a back elbow and slam. EC3 sets for the One Percent Elbow and hits it. EC3 gets Cole on his shoulders but EC3 with a forearm. EC3 with a Flatliner for a near fall. Cole goes to the apron and Cole drops the injured arm on the top rope and follows with a clothesline for a near fall. Cole kicks EC3 in the arm and hits a lungblower for a near fall. Cole misses the Last Shot and EC3 with a German suplex and clothesline for a near fall. EC3 goes for a suplex but Cole blocks it. Cole with a shoulder breaker for a near fall. Cole goes for a cross arm breaker but EC3 blocks the application of the hold. EC3 with a power bomband Strong gets in the ring along with Kyle but EC3 stops them.

Cole with a super kick and Last Shot for the three count.

Winner: Adam Cole

After the match, O’Reilly, Strong, and Fish attack EC3.

The War Raiders come to the ring and they brawl with Undisputed Era.

Rowe is sent to the floor. Hanson with a cartwheel and then he hits a spin kick on Kyle and kicks Strong. Rowe takes care of Fish and Cole.

Rowe with a power bomb and powe r slam to Strong and Fish. They hit Kyle with Fallout.
