Welcome to WWE NXT.

We begin with a video package showing what Tommaso Ciampa and NXT Men’s Champion Aleister Black did at Takeover Chicago and then their paths to tonight’s title match.

We are at Full Sail University and your announcers are Percy Watson, Mauro Ranallo, and Nigel McGuinness.

Match Number One:  Adam Cole versus Sean Maluta in a Non Title Match

They lock up and Cole backs Maluta into the corner and then he gives a clean break.  They lock up again and Cole with a waist lock take down and then he slaps Maluta in the back of the head before getting off Maluta’s back.  Maluta with a rollup for a near fall.  Maluta with a back slide for a near fall.  Cole misses a double sledge and Maluta with a neck breaker and Yakuza Kick.  Maluta goes to the turnbuckles and Cole pulls Maluta off the turnbuckles and he punches Maluta and follows with elbow drops.  Cole with a kick to the ribs.

Cole sends Maluta into the turnbuckles and chops Maluta.  Cole puts Maluta on the turnbuckles and Maluta with a head butt to send Cole to the mat.  Maluta comes off the turnbuckles into a super kick.  Cole with the Last Shot and he gets the three count.

Winner:  Adam Cole (remains Champion)

After the match, Adam Cole says he is the most buzzworthy superstar on any brand.  That is because of what he gets done in this ring.  He defends his North American Championship all over the world.  He has defended it in the UK.  Adam says tonight’s opponent was a young, hungry upstart and who gave him a chance?  It was Adam Cole.

Cole is interrupted by Ricochet.

Ricochet tells Adam he owes him an apology.  You did not run from your competition.  Granted, you did have a non title match against a guy whose name you can’t remember.  Since joining NXT, you have taken this industry by storm.  Since becoming champion, the man who claims to Shock the System, all you have done is shockingly become a coward.  Ricochet tells Cole he can change his opinion because you are so good.

How about we have a match.  How about you have a match for the NXT North American Championship.  How about having a match for the NXT North American Championship in Brooklyn . . . against him.  Unless Ricochet says he is right about Cole, bay bay.

Cole says that Ricochet is right.  He is so so good.  Cole says that is why he will not diminish himself by fighting Ricochet in Brooklyn.

Cole leaves the ring.

Ricochet tells Cole that is okay because Cole is the coward that he thought he was.

Cole returns to the ring and he goes to the apron and Ricochet comes at him but Cole returns to the floor.  Ricochet rebounds off the ropes and hits a superhero landing.

Cole says that Ricochet is nothing and NXT Tag Team Champions Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong come out.

The War Raiders make their way onto the stage and that sends The Undisputed Era out of a different part of the building.

Tyler Bate and Trent Seven appear behind The Undisputed Era and Trent and Tyler attack Strong, O’Reilly, and Cole.  The Undisputed Era leave the building.

We are told that Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane have signed their contract for the NXT Women’s Championship Match at NXT Brooklyn.

Shayna Baszler says this is not a rematch because she has beaten Kairi since last year.  Shayna is not the same person she was last year.  Shayna says she has the killer instinct while Kairi does not.  Kairi is living off the past because she has not done anything since.

Sane signs the contract without saying anything.

Sane says she knows it and Shayna knows it.  Kairi says she can beat Shayna.

Shayna says that Kairi does not have what it takes.  You are living in a fantasy world like the others pretending they have what it takes.  Dakota and Candice pretend that they have what it takes.  You are acting like a pirate pretending that you are looking for treasure.

Kairi says that she will beat Shayna in Brooklyn.

Shayna signs the contract and she tells Kairi that she does not have to listen to her now, but you have to listen to her in Brooklyn because you will hear ‘And still . . . your NXT Women’s Champion’.

Shayna leaves the room and Kairi tells William Regal that she knows it and Shayna knows that Kairi can beat her.

We see Tommaso Ciampa getting ready for his match against Aleister Black.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at the tag match from the UK special when Velveteen Dream walked out on EC3 during their match against RIcochet and Aleister Black.

Match Number Two:  Tenilla Price versus Lacey Evans

They lock up and Evans backs Price into the corner and runs her forearm across the face before breaking.  Evans sends Price across the ring by the hair and then hits a hesitation bronco buster.  Evans ties up Price in the corner.  Evans goes to the apron and ties Price’s hair in the ropes.  Evans with a kick and then Evans with elbows to the back of the head.  Evans with a leg sweep and then he hits a slingshot elbow drop.  Evans with a swinging neck breaker and she goes for a splash but Price gets her knees up.

Price goes for a handspring move into the corner but Evans with the Woman’s Right for the three count.

Winner:  Lacey Evans

Bianca Belair is in the interview area and she is asked about her recovery because she missed the number one contender match.  She says she does not have to explain herself.  She is undefeated.  She says she will work the hardest and she will get what she deserves because she is Un-De-Feated.  When she gets back, she will get what she deserves.

Aleister Black is in the back getting ready for the NXT Men’s Championship Match tonight.

We go to commercial.

We see Shayna Baszler leaving the contract signing and she says it was strong words from a weak woman.  We see Candice LeRae telling Shayna to say it to her face.  Candice says this might not be the time, but she will find the time.
