WWE NXT Results – September 13th, 2017: Pete Dunne vs. Wolfgang

Welcome to WWE NXT. We get a recap video package from last week’s show. Our opening contest is….

Tag Team Match: Nikki Cross and Ruby Riot vs. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce

Riot attacked both girls right off the bat. However, numbers game caught up to her and the heels double teamed her in the corner. Kay landed a series of kicks and strikes to Riot. Cross eventually came down to ringside for the match. Kay accidentally hit Royce and Riot pushed Kay into Royce. Cross tagged herself into the match. Cross hit a clothesline to Kay then a crossbody to Royce. Cross with a neck breaker to Kay. Cross tagged in Riot and left the ring. Riot hit her finisher off the top rope for the win.

Winner: Nikki Cross and Ruby Riot

No Way Jose cuts a backstage promo about his issues with Lars Sullivan. Jose is tired of Sullivan being a bully so he challenges Sullivan to a match next week.  

Singles Match: Johnny Gargano vs. Riddick Moss

They start brawling. Moss hit a power slam. Gargano with a series of kicks and we cut to break.

We’re back with Moss in control of Gargano. Moss tossed him into the corner and landed a series of strikes. Moss tossed him into the turnbuckle several times to continue the beatdown. Moments later, Gargano fought back with strikes and sent him to the floor. Gargano hit a dive off the apron. Back in the ring, Gargano locked in an arm/neck submission but Moss got to the bottom rope to break it. Moss with a clothesline then a fall away slam. Gargano went to the apron and hit a springboard spear for the win.

Winner: Johnny Gargano

Tag Team Match: The Street Profits vs. The Ealy Brothers.

Dawkins and Uriel start things off.  They lock up and Uriel with a pie face on the break. They lock up again and Uriel takes Dawkins head band but Dawkins with a punch and he puts his head band back on.  Ford tags in and he hits a drop kick and Dawkins with a splash. Gabriel tries to interfere and Dawkins with a leap frog splash.  Ford does it to Uriel. Gabriel with a clothesline to Ford followed by a kick.  Uriel tags in and Ford is sent into his knee.  Gabriel with a shoulder in the corner and Uriel with an Irish whip but he misses a splash.  Gabriel and Dawkins tag in.

Dawkins with clotheslines and a drop kick.  He follows with a back elbow.  Dawkins with spinning splashes into the corner followed by a spine buster and then Ford hits a frog splash on Gabriel for the three count.

Winner: The Street Profits

There was a video package recapping Asuka’s NXT career. William Regal announced in a backstage interview that he would be announcing plans for the vacant NXT Women’s Title.

United Kingdom Title Match: Pete Dunne vs. Wolfgang

Dunne took him down and worked over the left arm of Wolfgang. This led to Wolfgang locking in a waist lock and a chin lock. Dunne with a forearm shot then a series of kicks. Wolfgang with a gutwrench powerslam and a splash in the corner. Dunne sent Wolfgang neck first into the apron to send us to break.

We’re back with Dunne in control by working over the left arm of Wolfgang. However, Wolfgang fought out of a submission with a suplex. Dunne fired back with a kick in the corner. Wolfgang came right back with a spear that sent Dunne to the floor. Wolfgang with an outside dive then sent Dunne back into the ring. Wolfgang hit a moonsault off the middle rope for 2. Dunne reversed a move and hit a front suplex. Dunne went to the top rope but Wolfgang stopped him with a big strike. Wolfgang connected with a superplex off the top rope. Wolfgang hit a senton off the top rope but Dunne moved and locked in an armbar. Wolfgang powered out of it and Dunne hit a big forearm but Wolfgang hit a big boot. Dunne with a kick but Wolfgang reversed and landed a power slam for 2. Wolfgang with a power slam. Dunne with a forearm shot and then the Bitter End for the win.

Winner: Pete Dunne

Post-match, Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Bobby Fish surrounded Dunne. Wolfgang attacked the three heels while Dunne left the ring. Cole, O’Reilly, and Fish beat down Wolfgang.
