WWE NXT Results for January 22, 2020

— Grizzled Young Veterans defeated The Undisputed ERA (Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly) by pinfall (with some help from a distraction by Imperium) to advance to Round 3 of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.

— Toni Storm defeated Io Shirai by disqualification as Bianca Belair came out and attacked Storm, followed by Shirai, to make a point about her being the No. 1 contender. Out came Rhea Ripley and a fight ensued. Shirai came back into the mix and all four women went at it. The segment ended with Storm standing tall in the ring holding the NXT Women’s Championship.

— Backstage, Cathy Kelley spoke to The Undisputed ERA about Imperium’s interference. Adam Cole recollects their thoughts to focus on Keith Lee for later.

— A video package promo aired with Ilja Dragunov talking about how he’ll beat Finn Balor.

— Finn Balor defeated Joaquin Wilde by pinfall.

— Shayna Baszler defeated Shotzi Blackheart by submission.

— A video package was dedicated to the Tegan Nox and Dakota Kai feud.

— Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne (aka The Broserweights) defeated Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner (aka Imperium) by pinfall to advance to round 3 of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.

— Keith Lee defeated Roderick Strong by pinfall to win the NXT North American Championship! Imperium and The Undisputed ERA finished the show with a brawl.
