— The show started with a promo by Rhea Ripley that was interrupted by Toni Storm, followed by Kay Lee Ray, Io Shirai, Bianca Belair and Candice LeRae. This will now be a six-woman tag team match starting right now.

— Rhea Ripley, Toni Storm and Candice LeRae defeated Kay Lee Ray, Io Shirai and Bianca Belair by pinfall when Ripley pinned Belair after Shirai got mad at Belair tagging in and left her side of the team.


— A vignette focused on Tommaso Ciampa and how he had to hand over Goldie when he was injured.


— Keith Lee says in 2020, he will become North American champion. Throughout the night, Damian Priest, Cameron Grimes and Dominik Dijakovic all had similar moments to hype the main event.

— Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Round 1 Match: Imperium (Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner) defeated The Forgotten Sons (Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake) by pinfall to advance in the tournament.

— Austin Theory defeated Joaquin Wilde by pinfall.


— Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Round 1 Match: The Undisputed ERA (Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish) defeated Gallus (Wolfgang and Mark Coffey) by pinfall to advance in the tournament.


— Johnny Gargano spoke on his feud with Finn Balor. He says it must be eating Balor alive that when he left for the main roster, Gargano stayed in NXT and made it better to the point where they don’t need Balor anymore. Balor came out to talk some trash and say he’ll give him his match at TakeOver: Portland if Gargano makes it that far.

— Kushida’s partner for the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic was announced to be Alex Shelley. They will face Grizzled Young Veterans next week. Also, Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews will face Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle.

— Mia Yim defeated Kayden Carter by pinfall. After the match, Chelsea Green attacked them both, as endorsed by Robert Stone, who said in 2020, his brand will take over NXT.

— Next week will feature a #1 Contender’s Battle Royal to determine who fights for the NXT Women’s Championship at TakeOver: Portland.

— Fatal 4-Way No. 1 Contender’s Match: Keith Lee defeated Cameron Grimes, Damian Priest and Dominik Dijakovic (by pinning Grimes) to earn a shot at the North American Championship in two weeks.
