Johnny Gargano vs Andrade “Cien” Almas
Gargano comes out to the ring first, followed by Almas. The crowd is clearly behind Gargano as the match gets underway. Gargano and Almas engage in some chain wrestling on the canvas. Gargano attempts a pinfall early but only gets a one count. Almas gets the advantage again and chops Gargano near a turnbuckle. Almas continues to keep Gargano reeling and knocks him down to the canvas. Almas attempts the pinfall but only gets a two count. Almas gets a hanging triangle on the ropes but the referee quickly breaks it up. Almas keeps Gargano grounded and continues to work on Gargano’s arm with an armbar. Gargano fights out and regains some momentum as both men go for a clothesline, resulting in a double takedown. Almas gets up first lays an elbow into Gargano, resulting in an exchange for both. Gargano gets the advantage and keeps knocking Almas down. Gargano ends up going for a Tope Suicide Dive to the outside, taking out Almas. Gargano tries for a Slingshot DDT afterwards and goes for the pin, but only gets two again.
Almas tries for a hanging DDT followed by a Tornado DDT, but Gargano kicks out at two after the pinfall attempt. The two lock up on a turnbuckle and exchange some strikes, with Almas trying to set up Gargano. Gargano goes for the sunset flip but Almas dodges and lands on his feet. Almas goes for a hurricurana but Gargano counters into a shoulder lock armbar, but Almas escapes. Almas goes for a running knee and tries for the pinfall again, but Gargano kicks out.
Gargano hits two superkicks and sets up Almas for the Summertime into the turnbuckle. Thea distracts Gargano as Almas locks in the Hammerlock DDT and hits it for the pinfall and victory.
Winner via Pinfall – Andrade “Cien” Almas
After the match, Almas and Thea celebrate as Gargano recovers in the ring.
Sanity and Authors of Pain make their entrances. A brawl breaks out early between both Authors of Pain and Sanity, despite the referee not ringing the bell. After about a minute, they finally get back in the ring and the referee calls for the bell. Eric Young appears and replaces Killian Dain as the legal tag member for Wolfe. Wolfe and Young get some momentum going but Rezar steps in and starts pounding away on Wolfe. Young and Akam brawl in the crowd while Wolfe and Rezar get in the ring. Akam and Young manage to find their way back to the ring. Akam and Rezar double team on Young with a backbreaker.
Akam and Rezar establish some control midway through the match, with Rezar torturing Eric Young with a hanging choke. Rezar attempts a body splash in the turnbuckle but Young gets out of the way. Wolfe gets tagged in and evens the score a bit. Young manages to get a elbow drop on Akam but Rezar comes in to save his partner by dragging him out. Wolfe follows up by taking a suicide dive on Rezar. Nikki comes in and confronts Paul Ellering. Cross ends up getting put through a table with Rezar by Wolfe. Wolfe hits a Belly-to-Belly back suplex on Akam for the pinfall and victory.
Winners via Pinfall and NEW NXT Tag Team Champions – Sanity
After the match, rEDragon comes in and attacks both teams, laying them out before leaving through the crowd.
Aleister Black vs Hideo Itami
In a hard hitting match, Aleister Black defeated Itami with a Black Mass. (WordPress issues here, sorry.)
Winner via Pinfall – Aleister Black
NXT Women’s Title – Asuka (c) vs Ember Moon
Moon comes out first, followed by Asuka. Moon quickly goes on the offensive and takes out Asuka outside with a diving senton. Moon continues the assault but Asuka quickly steps on the gas and meets Moon step for step. Back in the ring, Asuka gets Moon reeling with several strikes and a German Suplex against a turnbuckle. Asuka goes for the Asuka Lock but Moon reverses into a chicken wing. Asuka escapes and applies a modified Asuka Lock instead, but Moon drops Asuka on her back. Moon tries a sneak pinfall, but Asuka kicks out at two.
Asuka hits a running hip attack and goes for her own pinfall, but Moon kicks out as well. Moon gets on the turnbuckle and hits a tornado suplex. Moon goes for another pin but isn’t enough for the Empress of Tomorrow. Asuka and Moon stand up and exchange some strikes in the middle, but Asuka hits a knee on Moon. Moon quickly fights back and manages to get another attempt at pinning the champion, but Asuka kicks out at two.
Moon hits the Eclipse and pins Asuka immediately, but Asuka manages to kick out at 2.9 somehow, someway. Asuka tries some heel tactics to pin Moon, but Moon kicks out. Moon gets locked up by Asuka for the Asuka Lock and is forced to tap.
Winner via Submission and STILL NXT Women’s Champion – Asuka
Asuka celebrates while Moon gets a crowd reception as she heads back to the backstage area.
NXT Title – Bobby Roode (c) vs Drew McIntyre
McIntyre comes out to the NYPD bag pipes followed by his entrance. Roode comes out next to his usual entrance with tons of smoke. The referee does the ring introductions for both competitors. Roode and McIntyre start the match with some grapples, with McIntyre trying to take up Roode’s space and keep him within his grasp. McIntyre knocks over Roode, forcing the champion to retreat out of the ring. Roode gets back in after a brief moment. McIntyre tries to corner Roode but Roode escapes and gives his opponent some chops. McIntyre gets his momentum back and forces Roode to retreat out of the ring again. McIntyre bosses Roode around outside with some chops and a drop against the guard rail. Roode manages to get some offense in himself, but McIntyre manages to recover.
Roode and McIntyre continue to battle mostly outside, seemingly due to Roode’s strategy. Roode and McIntyre finally get back in the ring and Roode continues his offensive against the Scotsman. Roode corners McIntyre and hits some chops. Roode drags McIntyre out and hits a Hangman’s Neckbreaker. Roode locks in a sleeper on McIntyre, but the Scotsman manages to escape. Roode hits a big boot and attempts a clothesline but McIntyre catches him for a belly-to-belly suplex. Roode continues his assault with some chops to the back and an atomic drop. McIntyre manages to get Roode into a Fireman’s Carry for a Celtic Cross. Roode kicks out at two after McIntyre tries for a pin.
