Welcome to another edition of WWE Recap Report — a breakdown of the biggest takeaways of the week from WWE programming for those who may have missed out.

Whether you need to catch up on a show, had too busy of a week to stay on top of the breaking news or just skipped out on WWE as a whole, I’ve got you covered.

Obviously, not every single thing will be recapped here in detail. But this is your TL;DR of the week to be caught up to speed before the next Monday Night Raw so you’re not left in the dark.

With that being said, here is a quick rundown of this week in WWE.

MONDAY NIGHT RAW

  • Matt Riddle beat Elias and Jeff Hardy to earn the final spot on Team Raw.
  • After Drew Gulak tried to join The Hurt Business and was beaten up by them, R-Truth pinned him to win the 24/7 Championship.
  • Shayna Baszler defeated Lana by submission.
  • Riddle and Keith Lee defeated Braun Strowman and Sheamus by pinfall.
  • Bobby Lashley defeated Titus O’Neil by submission to retain the United States Championship.
  • Asuka beat Nia Jax by disqualification. After the match, Jax and Shayna Baszler fought with Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose and then put Lana through the commentary table again.
  • The 24/7 Championship changed hands multiple times between Akira Tozawa, Erik, Drew Gulak, Lince Dorado, Gran Metalik and Tucker, eventually finding its way back to R-Truth.
  • Mustafa Ali defeated Ricochet by submission
  • Drew McIntyre and The New Day defeated Randy Orton, The Miz, and John Morrison by pinfall.

NXT

  • Leon Ruff defeated Johnny Gargano by pinfall to win the North American Championship!!
  • Santos Escobar defeated Jake Atlas by pinfall.
  • Xia Li didn’t show up for her match against Raquel Gonzalez. Instead, Boa came out and got beaten up by Raquel. Some guy came out and handed Boa a letter before marking his hand with some sort of symbol.
  • Timothy Thatcher attacked August Grey backstage until he was separated with some officials, William Regal and even Dexter Lumis.
  • Candice LeRae defeated Toni Storm by pinfall. After the match, Indi Hartwell helped Candice fight Toni. Shotzi Blackheart tried to help, but fell victim to the 2-on-1, too.
  • Timothy Thatcher beat Dexter Lumis by pinfall with some help from a distraction by Cameron Grimes, who attacked Lumis after the match.
  • Johnny Gargano approached William Regal about how the match with Leon Ruff should be thrown out because he rigged the wheel.
  • NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The Brit-Am Brawlers defeated Breezango by pinfall to retain the titles.

MAIN EVENT

  • Erik defeated Akira Tozawa
  • Humberto Carrillo defeated Gran Metalik

NXT UK

  • The Hunt defeated Amir Jordan and Kenny Williams by pinfall.
  • Rampage Brown defeated Jack Starz by pinfall.
  • Xia Brookside defeated Nina Samuels by pinfall.
  • NXT UK Heritage Cup Tournament Semifinals Match: Trent Seven defeated Dave Mastiff with a score of 2-1.

FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN

  • Sami Zayn retained the Intercontinental Championship over Apollo Crews by count-out.
  • Bayley distracted Sasha Banks during a promo to allow for Carmella to attack The Boss.
  • Otis beat Dolph Ziggler by pinfall.
  • Rey Mysterio beat Seth Rollins in a No Holds Barred match by pinfall.
  • Liv Morgan earned a spot on Team SmackDown by beating Chelsea Green, Natalya and Tamina in a Fatal 4-Way match.
  • Drew McIntyre beat Jey Uso by pinfall.

  • Curt Stallion defeated Ariya Daivari, Ashante “Thee” Adonis,  August Grey and Tony Nese by pinfall on Nese in a Fatal 5-Way to become the #1 contender for Santos Escobar’s Cruiserweight Championship.
