Welcome to another edition of WWE Recap Report — a breakdown of the biggest takeaways of the week from WWE programming for those who may have missed out.
Whether you need to catch up on a show, had too busy of a week to stay on top of the breaking news or just skipped out on WWE as a whole, I’ve got you covered.
Obviously, not every single thing will be recapped here in detail. But this is your TL;DR of the week to be caught up to speed before the next Monday Night Raw so you’re not left in the dark.
With that being said, here is a quick rundown of this week in WWE.
MONDAY NIGHT RAW
- Bobby Lashley defeated Sheamus by submission.
- Asuka defeated Peyton Royce by submission. After the match, Rhea Ripley came out and challenged Asuka to a title match at WrestleMania. Asuka accepted.
- The Miz challenged Bad Bunny to a match at WrestleMania and then defeated Jeff Hardy by pinfall. After the match, Bad Bunny nailed The Miz in the back with a guitar.
- Kofi Kingston defeated AJ Styles by pinfall.
- 2-on-1 Handicap Match: Drew McIntyre defeated Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin who are now banned from ringside at WrestleMania.
- Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler defeated Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose by pinfall.
NXT
- Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez defeated Io Shirai and Zoey Stark by pinfall.
- Bronson Reed defeated LA Knight by pinfall.
- Karrion Kross defeated Oney Lorcan by pinfall.
- WALTER defeated Drake Maverick by referee stoppage.
- NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart defeated Aliyah and Mercedes Martinez (who replaced Jessi Kamea) by pinfall.
- Jordan Devlin defeated Kushida by pinfall in a non-title match. Shawn Michaels brought out a ladder to indicate Devlin vs. Santos Escobar will be a ladder match at TakeOver.
- William Regal presented Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly with a contract they had to sign waving NXT of all damages for their match on night 2 of TakeOver. O’Reilly talked about how he sold his soul for The Undisputed ERA and he wants it back.
MAIN EVENT
- Drew Gulak defeated Akira Tozawa by pinfall
- Angel Garza defeated Gran Metalik by pinfall.
NXT UK
- Trent Seven was Noam Dar’s guest on Supernova 11 Sessions. Seven will accompany Tyler Bate ringside at NXT UK: Prelude to offset Sha Samuels being in Dar’s corner.
- Joseph Conners defeated Jack Starz by pinfall.
- Primate and T-Bone defeated Danny Jones and Josh Morell by pinfall.
- Isla Dawn defeated Aleah James by pinfall.
- No Disqualification Match: Ilja Dragunov defeated Sam Gradwell by referee stoppage.
FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN
- Daniel Bryan opened the show saying he wants a rematch against Roman Reigns tonight and won’t leave the ring until he gets what he wants. Adam Pearce said he couldn’t do that. Bryan suggested having a match on the other match of WrestleMania. Edge took exception to this and took out Bryan with a spear and a steel chair.
- Seth Rollins defeated Shinsuke Nakamura by pinfall.
- Apollo Crews and Alpha Academy defeated Big E and The Street Profits by pinfall.
- Sami Zayn was on The KO Show. Kevin Owens challenged Zayn to a match at WrestleMania. Next week, Logan Paul will be Zayn’s special guest for a red carpet for his conspiracy documentary.
- Bianca Belair defeated Natalya by pinfall.
- Rey Mysterio defeated Dolph Ziggler by pinfall.
- Adam Pearce made his decision about WrestleMania. It will be a Triple Threat match.

- Ariya Daivari and Tony Nese defeated Bollywood Boyz by pinfall.
- August Grey defeated Ashante “Thee” Adonis by pinfall.
