Welcome to another edition of WWE Recap Report — a breakdown of the biggest takeaways of the week from WWE programming for those who may have missed out.
Whether you need to catch up on a show, had too busy of a week to stay on top of the breaking news or just skipped out on WWE as a whole, I’ve got you covered.
Obviously, not every single thing will be recapped here in detail. But this is your TL;DR of the week to be caught up to speed before the next Monday Night Raw so you’re not left in the dark.
With that being said, here is a quick rundown of this week in WWE.
MONDAY NIGHT RAW
- Kevin Owens started the show imitating Stone Cold Steve Austin and cutting a promo about how Austin’s going to get his ass beat at WrestleMania.
- The Mysterios defeated The Dirty Dawgs by pinfall. After the match, The Miz unmasked Rey Mysterio.
- Omos defeated Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez by pinfall.
- AJ Styles cut a promo about his match with Edge at WrestleMania. Seth Rollins interrupted to suggest maybe he replace Styles. Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville granted a match with that stipulation in mind.
- Queen Zelina Vega and Carmella were fighting with each other backstage. However, after Shayna Baszler and Natalya defeated Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley, Carmella and Vega attacked both teams and hugged.
- Becky Lynch cut a promo about injuring Bianca Belair.
- Finn Balor defeated Austin Theory by pinfall.
- RK-Bro defeated Alpha Academy by pinfall. After the match, The Street Profits took out both teams to make a statement.
- Dana Brooke and Reggie defeated Tamina and Akira Tozawa by pinfall.
- AJ Styles defeated Seth Rollins by disqualification due to interference by Edge, who nailed Styles with a chair.
NXT
- North American Championship Ladder Match Qualifier: Solo Sikoa defeated Roderick Strong by pinfall.
- Earlier today, Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta argued over which couple is more popular. Persia also said Indi cheated last week and she’s jealous of how she and Duke Hudson were kissing.
- Tony D’Angelo defeated Dexter Lumis by pinfall.
- Elektra Lopez defeated Fallon Henley by pinfall.
- Backstage, Draco Anthony’s phone was buzzing, as he’s still being bothered by Joe Gacy.
- Bron Breakker defeated Robert Roode by pinfall.
- Bodhi Hayward did a presentation for Andre Chase and cursed out his fellow students, which made Chase proud.
- North American Championship Ladder Match Qualifier: Grayson Waller defeated A-Kid by pinfall. After the match, Carmelo Hayes announced that the three losers of the qualifying matches (A-Kid, Cameron Grimes and Roderick Strong) will face each other next week in a Triple Threat match for the final spot.
- The Creed Brothers defeated Grizzled Young Veterans by pinfall. After the match, a video appeared on the TitanTron of someone trashing Diamond Mine’s locker room with a message of “Creed Brothers. You clearly can’t find us. So we’ll find you. Until then, enjoy the view.”
- GUNTHER defeated Duke Hudson by pinfall. After the match, GUNTHER grabbed a microphone and complained about how he’s overlooked despite his dominance and someone like LA Knight—which prompted Knight to come out to interrupt. GUNTHER complained that Knight talks his way into championship matches, but has very little skill. Knight suggested they should have a match at Stand & Deliver, which prompted a fight. MSK came out to back up Knight against Imperium.
- Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Finals: Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray defeated Wendy Choo and Dakota Kai by pinfall to win the tournament.
MAIN EVENT
- Veer defeated a jobber
- Cedric Alexander defeated T-Bar
NXT UK
- Die Familie defeated A-Kid and Saxon Huxley by pinfall.
- Wild Boar defeated T-Bone by pinfall.
- Jordan Devlin defeated Danny Jones by pinfall.
- Meiko Satomura defeated Isla Dawn by pinfall to retain the NXT UK Women’s Championship.
FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN
- Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Jimmy Uso by pinfall.
- Xavier Woods defeated Ridge Holland by pinfall.
- Angel Garza defeated Ricochet by pifnall to earn a future title shot for the Intercontinental Championship.
- Humberto Carrillo defeated Ricochet by count-out in another championship contender’s match.
- Sasha Banks defeated Queen Zelina Vega, Rhea Ripley and Shayna Baszler in a Fatal 4-Way by submission on Vega.
NXT LEVEL UP
- Joe Gacy defeated Quincy
- Ivy Nile defeated Kiana James (Kayla Inlay)
