Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns (Triple Threat)
Once Reigns and Ambrose finish with the Wyatts, the WWE can capitalize on their “bromance,” as well as the history with Rollins. Having both men compete in some sort of battle royal or beat the clock challenge where they tie, or having each man compete once and fail, would be an easy story. An alternate route would be to have this match happen at WrestleMania as the Shield triple threat, with Ambrose winning the Rumble and Reigns earning his spot at Fastlane. The history of the shield, the breakup, the title defenses and matches just make for a perfect triple threat.
Regardless of how we get to this triple threat, it will be the focal point of fascination in the WWE, and one of the better angles of the past few years. WWE can milk this feud for months, and enjoy a main event that fans will not be complaining about.

Sheamus
Most people look at Sheamus’ MITB win as negative. Putting a positive spin on this one is Sheamus cashing in and winning the WWE title. This gives Rollins the opportunity for a face turn, and a quick win back. This way, it would keep the title with Rollins, and give him an entirely new set of heels to work with. Think of this feud as more of a pivot point for Rollins’ career, and this whole feud does not seem as bad as most think it will be. The key here is Rollins winning the title back within a month or so, to avoid multiple Sheamus main events.
Chances of happening: Moderate
Cesaro
Cesaro is the dark horse of this group, as he has never truly received a main event push. That being said, this has Match of the Year written all over it. Giving Cesaro a win through some sort of tournament would give him that extra boost he needs to compete in the main event. While Cesaro has improved on the mic, he could still benefit from having a valet at his side (or even an injured Tyson Kidd). Cross your fingers and hope that Vince will change his mind about this man.

Dolph Ziggler
Another dark horse for title contention, Dolph Ziggler is always only a feud away from the main event. He carried himself well during the Survivor Series feud, although his push was wasted by poor booking. Seth and Ziggler have faced each other before, but not with the title on the line. One big win against someone such as Sheamus or Cena, and Ziggler is back in the mix. Although he may not be as credible as the others to pull the strap off Rollins, it would serve as a solid placeholder feud that would churn out some strong matches.
Chances of happening: Low
Bray Wyatt
This is another feud that would be stipulated on Seth Rollins with some sort of babyface turn. While the in-ring action may not be as action packed as a feud with Cesaro would be, the promo work and build would be something new and interesting. Seth could fight his way through Bray’s minions, all while going on a psychological ride. Plus, Bray vs. Seth in some sort of blow off hardcore/no-DQ match would do wonders for the careers of both men.

Finn Balor
Balor in contention for the title within the next 6 months is a bit of a stretch, but it could work. Strapping a rocket to Kevin Owens right out of the gate seemed to do wonders for his career, so it could do the same for Balor. Balor and Rollins have similar styles as well, so the matches would definitely not disappoint. Building him to look like a credible threat would require absolute pristine booking, along with some heavy promoting of him. Still, it may be a good way to establish Balor as a top star right from the beginning.

Kevin Owens
Much like the potential feud with Cesaro, this one has Feud of the Year written all over it. From the build to the dialogue to the in-ring action, this could be a classic. Having a heel vs. heel main event is a rarity, so expect this one to take place if Rollins was a babyface. Owens is too much of a natural heel to take a babyface turn for the main event, especially at this point. Some may think giving Owens the main event push is too soon, but he did flourish with Cena in his debut. Giving him a 2 month feud before the Royal Rumble could be just what Rollins needs to gear up for WrestleMania.

Bonus: Undertaker (Retirement)
Although the bulk of this article talks about how Rollins should be facing newer and younger stars, this one feud would be something to look forward to. Who better to give Taker his final match than the future of the company? The only way this would really work, is to have Taker face Rollins at WrestleMania. If he wins, he drops the title the next day on Raw and rides off into the sunset. If he loses, he says goodbye the next day on Raw and rides off into the sunset. Regardless of how it would play out, it would give Taker a good farewell, and give Rollins either a huge notch on his belt, or an easy out for losing the title.
