New WWE Tag Team Champions Grayson Waller & Austin Theory are planning on having a lengthy title reign that’ll surpass Roman Reigns’ run on top.
On this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Waller and Theory were presented with the new titles which have replaced the SmackDown Tag Team Titles the pair won at WrestleMania.
Speaking after this week’s edition of SmackDown, the champions were confident for the future with Waller making a big prediction. He said,
“Undefeated tag team champions. It’s gonna be a long time. Roman Reigns’ reign [laughs] ain’t gonna be anything close to ours.”
Reigns’ 1,316-day reign as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion ended at WrestleMania 40 in an emotional main event that saw Cody Rhodes finish his ‘story.’
To surpass Reigns’ title run, the tag champs will need to hold the titles until Saturday, November 13, 2027. They will face the Street Profits in their first aired title defense.
