WWE Hall of Famer Adam “Edge” Copeland recently spoke with Forbes. Here are the highlights.
Others in the organization have been dealt similar hands (such as Daniel Bryan and Corey Graves) Did you give them any advice on how to move to the next chapter? All three of you appear to be handling the transition quite well, but then again, that’s from the outside looking in.
“Corey and Bryan are two intelligent guys, who obviously know how to land on their feet and look at the bigger picture. I haven’t talked to them, but I’d like to think they both know they could come to me if they wanted an ear. A healthy perspective is to understand that life doesn’t, and can’t revolve around the industry. At least if you want a healthy life psychologically after. They should implement a class for that, to be honest.”
What do you think about the crossover from MMA to the WWE and vice versa? Guys like Brock Lesnar have gone back and forth, CM Punk recently gave it a go, Ken Shamrock and Alberto Del Rio have done both–and there’s talk Ronda Rousey could find her way to the WWE at some point. Is this good for professional wrestling?
“I think they’re different branches on the same tree. But I think the same about football or any other athlete switching industries. I don’t think it hurts or helps for people to hop back and forth. Whatever blows your hair back. It’s a wash.”
