United States Champion John Cena spoke with the Corpus Christi Caller Times to promote the Elimination Chamber event on Sunday. Here are the highlights.
On the Elimination Chamber match: “When you walk into an event like the Elimination Chamber, it is extra special. And you know it’s a bigger stage – it’s a grander audience – everyone’s looking for that special something. As a champion, those are the environments you want.”
On trying to restore the U.S. Title: “I don’t think the United States Championship has been given the respect it deserves. It truly is the trophy of our country… (Personally), it’s got a different meaning with a different purpose now.”
